Its nothing on when Notts county came and there were chants of "Murderer, Murderer, Murderer" aimed at Lee Hughes when he missed an open goal and got sent off, after his death by dangerous driving charge
The pure unabashed vitriol and hatred directed at opponents emanating from the stands at the Valley are cited as why Racon sought a move to less hostile climes down the road feeling that our fanatics gave the team an unfair advantage and he wanted more of a challenge at a friendlier place.
I think either set of fans singing about the subject matter is in pretty poor taste tbf however it's hardly surprising he got it from ours (and probably every other set of oppo fans too).
Theirs singing their support for him in the manner they did is not something I'd be happy about if it were one of ours instead though.
Let's not ever make a noise when a keeper runs up for a goal kick, or for an opposition penalty, in case it upsets some people and brings the good game of football into disrepute.
I don't see anything wrong with the song. My mate standing next to me did though and refused to sing. I prob sang it more to wind him up than the player :-)
I don't like chanting songs about that kinda stuff when the player involved is found as 'not guilty'. I don't care if other people would sing it, it's their choice. Just my personal preference is that I would rather not sing it.
A more aggressive tone & wording would've been more apt.
Shocked to hear United singing what they did...perhaps they know more about the case and there's a lot more to it than meets the eye....still, wouldn't sit well with me singing that.
I found "We're gonna win the league" song offensive to the rest of the division as it's the taking part that counts and we the s##t teams like Sheff Weds might be upset...

When was Evans found not guilty? The court case is April 2012.
