They have sold all they were allowed though (98/99). Lets not pretend they would not fill 3k if they were down here this weekend. They are well renowned as having one of the best away supports in the Country.
I'm going and I'm going to make sure I find a seat right in front of an elderly, one- legged, dwarf and stand for 90 minutes whilst abusing Semedo's wife and kids and then go for a dump on the halfway line before writing about the whole day using profanities that would make a sailor blush on here later on in the evening.

." But I really feel that the players deserve a large vocal support next weekend for our biggest game of the season so far. So come on guys, lets get behind them and give the boys a big away support"
The score yesterday suggests that the amount of support, which was brilliant from us and non existent from Fulham, doesn't have much bearing on the result of the game. In fact research from the USA suggest that sports teams (in the research it was basketball) play better and score more points when there is no support! Weird, I know, but maybe support puts stress on the players.
Ask what opposition players & fans think about that when they have visited The Den at it's best.
The Huddersfield play off game was a perfect example with Hudds fans saying afterwards that if they had that type of support rather than fancy dress & clapping inflatables in the first leg things may have been different. Likewise when we took over Colchester and had almost half the support there.
A decent away following doesn't guarantee better results, but if your players run out & see 3,000 there in that huge end rather than 1,000, making plenty of noise etc I'm sure it'll give them a boost.
What about when you lost the Auto Windscreen Shield to Wigan or the play-off final to Scunthorpe? No doubt support is an advantage but not as influential as us fans hope.
having just logged on and looking at this thread i think the answer is no although there will be at least a couple of car loads of us going so thats at least 8 more tickets than already sold
Its disappointing that the majority of games that we take a 'massive' away support to are to games that we don't expect to win anyway (bar operation riverside).
It seems that going to watch a game against a club in a higher division than us, that we're expected to lose, brings about more excitement than the opportunity to watch CAFC play one of their rivals for the league title.
I'd love to go but my Dad say's its to expensive. : (
I'm 15 and my Dad insists I can't go to away games on my own so its pretty much up to him whether I can go or not.
You're not a proper Charlton fan until you've gone to a game your parents said you couldn't go to
In the days when the coaches used to pick up at shooters hill I was off school and wanted to go to Oldham but parents said no so I told then I was going down the club shop as I walked pass the fox under the hill I saw the coach and thought sod it next next thing my parents knew I was calling them from Watford Gap and I was on my way to Oldham on a cold Tuesday night.
I said to my boys after the fulham game that you've not done anything yet - on your own on the coach to a nothing midweek game at Oldham - thats when you know you've really caught the bug and once you've been chased around coventry and still can't wait for the next game, then you have really arrived. I'm not sure thats the best advice a father can give mind you but factually correct surely.

Not been there, but others say New Barrack tavern is highly recommended. I'll need to talk to Mike.
