Spoke to about 3 or 4 people who are now going on the back of an enjoyable day yesterday, intersted if anyone else has now decided to go to hopefully boost the numbers up and get a similar atmosphere going?
Really hope more people will be going after experienceing yesterdays atmosphere. There's been many debates recently about 'proper' and 'plastic' fans, and obviously different peoples circumstances mean its a lot easier to get to fulham away, than to Sheffield Wednesday away. But I really feel that the players deserve a large vocal support next weekend for our biggest game of the season so far. So come on guys, lets get behind them and give the boys a big away support.
Couldn't agree more about the above. I know it's easier for me cos I'm not that far away but I truly hope we have a large and noisy following at Hillsborough. There's a certain Owls fan who is getting right up my nose.

The score yesterday suggests that the amount of support, which was brilliant from us and non existent from Fulham, doesn't have much bearing on the result of the game. In fact research from the USA suggest that sports teams (in the research it was basketball) play better and score more points when there is no support! Weird, I know, but maybe support puts stress on the players.
nonsense if youve ever played in front of a crowd albeit a small one it makes a difference and when the crowd can influence officials and get behind our boys
Really do feel like making the effort and going saturday. I feel more confident about it having watched Pritchard yesterday. Although he's only small i think his pace and athleticism could be vital and i really think we'll turn them over. Would mean missing training my under 12's team on saturday and rearranging another couple of things but ultimately, the only thing us fans can do is turn up and make a noise. The rest is down to the team but if we don't turn up, then we haven't fulfilled our part of the deal. The next two games are huge so i'm starting to think its my duty to be there.

exactly, im driving on my own all the way up there and back as my 2 mates both cant attend so thought id still support the boys
Where is your starting point, mparsons1 ? Possibly other Lifers might join you for company & petrol costs. Unfortunately we already have a full car .
This is a great idea. For people put off by the cost how about people who are driving, with space in a car, post on here and then get lots of carsharing, and in turn cost saving going on.
Really wish I could join you all, had ticket, but had to return them last week, unfortunately I got to have operation on my shoulder on Saturday, therefore will be out for count during the game.

I'm fed up about us going on about taking 7,000 to Fulham. That's easy. The real test of what our support is like comes on Saturday. Sheffield Wednesday would sell out the away end at our place so we should be aiming to do the same up there. We wont though, it will be a couple of thousand at best.

If the game was played at the Valley this weekend they would bring 3,000 no problem. I think with a week to go we will have 2,000 up there which is still good for 3rd division football.

Paying for 3 tickets, plus travel cost me the best part of 100 notes - I can't spend that amount of money on footie week in week out.
