I had some proper miseries behind me on Saturday. They were young lads as well. They slated BWP for being 'lazy' which is itself the laziest criticism you can come up with for him. It just shows a fundamental misunderstanding of what his role in the team is. If you want him chasing the ball into our half then don't be surprised when our goalscorer isn't there to put the ball in the net when we counter-attack. Those same numpties were slating Morrison all game somehow, criticised Kermorgant and even found time to slate Wiggins when a cross didn't result in a goal. Determined to be miserable.
Which reminds me, these same moaners were whining about the fact they couldn't sing the Lisbie song anymore as someone had filmed them the last time they did it and the police watched them for the rest of that match. They were upset as 'it's not really racist is it, because you're not actually saying it, are you?' Geniuses there. Well done whoever it was who got them to cut that one out
I think people was upset with bwp on sat because kermit was winning so many headers and flick on's but bwp was no where near him! Kermit did all the running and got battered for his troubles but bwp did not look interest at all! Must be something we don't know like a injury or contract problems or even a bid from another club??

Or he can't play as well otherwise a club will come in for him?
Not saying I agree with those fans but I do find BWP completely frustrating as every time he had the ball he always lost it and when I am thinking he is going to do something special it backfires on him. I don't expect BWP to run around like a headless chicken but at least when he recieves the ball he needs to pass or not lose it all the time when he is trying to take some chances. It seems when the ball is feed to BWP to score 9 times out of 10 he will put the ball in the net which is why he has 14 goals for us this season but he don't seem to be capaple of doing anything else.
I think these fans forget he has scored 14 goals for us this season, a player we have been crying out for the past few seasons since Darren Bent and those fans who abused him need lessons. As long as BWP keeps on scoring goals then I am happy for him to be in the team and those fans need to accept this.
He does do more than score he has a healthy number of assists as well, some people need to get some perspective. Things are going well, really well and those fans need to stop looking for problems where there aren't any he had an off day get over it!
Maybe he just got fed up of twitter, I don't think he was as active on it as JJ and some of the others are.
Unfortunately there's alot of idiots on there as well and if you get abuse everytime you have a poor game then maybe he didn't think it was worth the hassle anymore.
Apparently BWP has left twitter. He was boring anyway
Don't think there's much to worry about. This season is going so well all we have to complain about is our star striker missing a few chances and some people just like a moan
We, just like every other club, will always have fans who shout crap at their own players. I remember nearly 20 years ago a berk spending what seemed the entire 90 minutes throwing all sorts of fxxks into John Robinson for being lazy and calling Carl Leaburn a gangly streak of piss. I mean, Johnny R lazy? It's just down to the rest of us who are blessed with a modicum of intellect to keep the faith in the true Charlton way and keep throwing out grenades of reason. As for the Twitter thing, unfortunately a lot of lads who make it pro have probably been cosseted quite a bit so when they do get criticism it stings that little bit more. Which I think is true for most teenagers/early 20s in general. They expect to be lauded and adored. It's all respect and me me me. Bear in mind, footballers used to just have to take stick for 90 minutes once or twice a week. Now with Twitter it's constant.
Can we lay the "contract" discussion to rest once and for all?
It is all in CAFC's hands; if they want to keep Bradley then they will. There is an "option" for the second year. If Bradley plays enough games he is guarenteed a second year. This clause is there to protect Charlton (in the event of extended injury problems), not the player.
He is our top goalscorer and second in the league only to Jordan Rhodes. All strikers have lean periods from time to time. Enough said.
I have seen enough of the new management team to realise that if they think we have a problem, they are prepared to deal with it quickly and accurately. Why don't we just concentrate upon getting behind the team, the way we start the New Year could be decisive.
There is no pleasing some people - seriously, we do have some complete morons for fans- admittedly so do other clubs but they serve to amuse me- our ones annoy me.

Absolutely , Granpa , we need tio get behind the boys and make some noise.... as someone famously said ;-0

Nature of a discussion board isn't it, as has been said many times. All angles get chewed over and whilst most don't think it is the case, i'm sure, what is to protect a club if a player decides to only give 75% effort if not happy? Nothing ptotects the club from that other than the players character which none (99% anyway) are doubting and i'm sure BWP will be 'sorted out' financially by our progressive board in a way that is seen as appropriate.
Has anyone realised yet that everyone is calling those who slag him off twats, but there is nobody slagging him off,. Getting more like Talksport every day.
Were talking opinions - let's be honest. 'Lazy' in football terms is 'low in confidence'. So, Bradley is low in confidence. But anyone who tells me they watched the last two games and don't think he has been very low in confidence are deluded or ball watching.
Just off to get as 'emotional' as a skunk !!!!!!!!!!

Some of our fans really are idiots.
Best squad for years - halfway through the season with only 1 defeat (joint best record in the country)
BWP has better than 1 in 2 this season and that's the generally accepted yardstick for strikers.
Best defence in our division yet Morro and Taylor are getting grief
I truly despair at some of our fans. I know it's only twitter but why the fuck do we want to start hounding our assets away?
I honestly despair at humans sometimes.

You are so wrong.
People will moan that he didn't get a hat-trick.

But only if you allow it to.
This thread is silly.
