The reason they don't rush back is so they're not picked up by a centreback as they come back on.
The centreback doesn't need to pick him up when he's 3 yards off. Just wait for the whistle to blow.
but it can be a good weapon we just need to break down the wing and then he is totally unmarked, just like Henry used to love to do
Yes but that's not what we're doing. The ball is going straight to BWP and the flag is going straight up. And it doesn't need to. Is that hard to understand? Is it also hard to grasp that fans can like a player but not be happy about aspects of his play?
Yep, I remember Henry scoring past us at Highbury, from the time Arsenal got the ball until a couple of minutes later when he tucked it away, he was on-side for about 1 second (at most), the 1 second that was required to be onside for Robert Pires cross.
you are welcome, thing is he can look lazy and disinterested but the box players like him are meant to conserve their energy for when they require it. Fergie always moans that Rooney wastes so much energy chasing the ball when he should wait to explode when the ball reaches him. As punters we expect players to run themselves into the ground but at times that is not what they are being asked to do

But what strikes some of us as strange is that some people like to pick up on the negative more than the good stuff, not saying you are like that though. So what we could say is that BWP is ahead of the rest of team in his knowledge of how to beat the offside
Kermit does the donkey work and some, BWP is there to score from a few yards out thats his bread and butter. Correct me if I'm wrong but he got 2 chances in 2nd half from good runs and good balls - but he is not getting enough service, low balls in the 6 yard area etc - give this guy 5/6/7 decent chances a game he will score 1 or 2 goals

That may well be the case. Judging from SCP's reaction to the offside flag, it could also be the case that he's been told to get his arse back onside and is not doing so.
Doesn't mean I don't like him. Doesn't mean he's not a good player. Doesn't mean I won't cheer as loud and long as anyone else when he scores.
Please don't critisise him, were terrified he might get the hump and go. FFS get real - why do you think he's in League 1 and we keep singing he's better than Shaun?? He isn't, and he is lazy. I think he's a class above this league, at least. But I loved Mendonca and Bent, can't stand this bloke..........
Will never boo him though, not while he wears the shirt.

I just get annoyed with all the negativity, it has been a chore supporting this club for the last few years and now it is fun again I have people still moaning around me. I just want to enjoy it whilst it lasts and would like to gag all the gllom merchants so I can settle down and absorb the glow of being top of the league
Regardless of BWP's strengths and weaknesses as a player, or the level of his performance on Saturday, wtf are people doing slagging him off in the internet when we're top of the league and he's got a sackload of goals. It was wrong when it was Benson and donkeys like McCormack and Francis getting personal abuse last season, it's just inexplicable doing it to your star striker wih your team top of the league. What can that possibly acheive apart from making the player resentful of the supporters and putting additional unwanted pressure on him, neither of which are helpful.
Out of 20,000 people, there's always likely to be a few that are a bit mentally challenged and thats all it is. The players will realise that i'm sure. Different if there were thousands. Relax - if he gets a good offer, he'll stay, if he doesn't he won't. A couple of muppets on twitter aren't going to affect anything. To suggest so is doing BWP a bit of a dis service if you ask me.
What's the contract situation? I guess early in the new year he'll be able to agree a free transfer outside the English league. The old firm could do worse for more money.

It's a common tactic that loads of attackers use now.
I don't remember BWPs old man charging round the pitch too much and he seemed to make a decent living out of it.

Do all clubs have supporters that are this weird?
oh the irony at some of the posts on this thread..
Lets be honest BWP is a strange fish but couldnt care less if he was into cross dressing as long as he scores every other game.
It's a pointless self indulgent media
All players should be banned from it
You always get pricks on things like that and if you ain't man enough to rise above it then do what he has done and take yourself away from it
No big deal
