  • If you bank online with Barclays you can get Kaspersky free.
  • It was you "touching wood" that caused AVG to start blocking the site you were looking at Rizz :-)
No, strangely the porn got through just fine. It was my other secret shame that got caught - World of Warcraft.

    Lol, nice come back
  • Do these comments still apply?

Is the free AVG any good.Looked on there site and there's quite a bit the free one don't protect you from.
  • I use Avast (the free one) and run Malware Bytes (again free) a couple of times a week. Touch wood never had a problem - that includes the odd visit to sites like Eztv......
  • If you're with Barclays and have registered for online banking, you can get Kaspersky for free to use on up to 3 different computers and one mobile device. It's a one-year subscription that can be renewed for free.
  • Personally i use AVG internet security, used it now for 3 years on home PC, no problems and it doesn't slow your PC down. Highly recommend it, see this link to Amazon, 2 year license and can be put on 4 PC's, all for just over £20, BARGAIN! • The IT experts down the road from me recommend Bullguard. They say this is the best for them which is good enough for me.

Yep BullGuard for me also. You get what you pay for and it feels very slick and professional. Certainly the best home PC security i've ever found.

  • Look around on some review websites - it's hardly the most helpful answer, I know! It's the best bet to see what has which features and so on; however if you're looking for basic protection just go with one of the free options. A lot of computer security stuff is common sense; regarding updates, downloads and so on..

This. I have Kaspersky on my main PC, my laptop and my girlfriends laptop. I know there's an Android version, but I've yet to bother with that. That said, I am one of those freaks who feels some kind of paranoid requirement to have everything as secure as possible! (Spybot (w/ Registry Protection) + Kaspersky seems to fulfill most of my requirements though!)
  • Used Kaspersky for couple of years now on desktop and laptop ...fingers crossed, never been a problem
