  • Saw Pawel Abbot in Eltham Sports Direct... probably returning his boots.
  • Gavin Peacock around town all the time - which is odd as we both live 4,500 miles give or take a couple from SE7
  • Spent a fair bit of time talking to Andy Todd and his Mrs on a flight back from Manchester when he was in talks to go to Blackburn after his bust up with Kiely (and Curbs). Chatted to Herman as I was about to buy the house next door on Kings Hill......I backed out of the sale and Brian Hughes bought it. Also said hello to Shaun Bartlett whilst at Kings Hill. Met Mickey Bennett many moons back at Blackheath station, and Paul Mortimer at New Eltham. Was introduced to Waggy when he played at Gravesend a few seasons back and then his Mum & Dad (really nice people). Saw Semedo and his Mrs at Bluewater last December, he too is a very nice bloke...and of course I met Brighty when I was interviewed for Grandstand a few years ago.....I was quite chuffed when I sat on the wall and looked as tall as him on the telly :-)
  • I saw Sam Sodje in Bluewater when he was with us, also saw that c*nt John Terry the same day. Used to see Gavin Peacock there quite often too.

When we beat West-Ham 4-2 in the Prem (the year they went down) I had a drink with SCP and Deano in the Players Lounge, also said a brief hello to Scotty and Claus (his Mrs was HOT!). Deano was on top form and ripping David James about his training methods of playing Tekken, and SCP was a top fella as expected.

  • My brother once sold Andy Reid a Ginsters pasty at the Co-op in New Eltham
    Just the one?
  • My uncle organised Keith Peacock's testimonial, they are still friends and have met him at a few family gatherings. Reminisced about his ITV goal of the season. Such a nice fella.

Most recent - Paddy Macarthy was on the touchline as two of his boys were playing for Palace Guard under 9's against my youngest's Footscray Lions. As it was about to kick off there was the usual 'Come on Lions' and 'Come on Palace' so i gave it a loud 'Come on Charlton'. It set the tone and there were plenty of verbals throughout as they really had some seriously annoying windowlickers on the touchline and at one point i had to point out the error of there ways. Paddy didn't really get involved to be fair and his boys were good players (both defenders) and it was a very tough game but we won 1-0. Very satisfying. BTW - I never say come on lions - Come on footscray from me and i'm working towards having the lions bit dropped completely.
  • Saw John Salako in the tapas bar at Bluewater this afternoon
  • Paddy powell used to do the wicket and outfield for my dads cricket team, spent quite a few afternoons on his tractor when I was younger! Served ambrose in sports direct in bromley, came in to pick up a pair of trainers, seemed really shy and a bit awkward

When Charlton lost 3-2 to wolves under Pardew, Shelvey was on the same bus as me. He was ballboy I do believe. Fascanating stuff I know

There is a car parked on Mottingham Road, by the school with the number plate C5ort

    BMW X5.....Could be Leon
  • Mike Flanagan used to get me tickets for away games. Spent a night with him and Lawrie Madden in a pub in Greenwich.
Bought Derek Hales a pernod and black in a pub in Bexley.
Met Keith Peacock and his wife on a cruise.
Met Colin Walsh on a cruise.
    Played golf with Graham Stuart
Stood next to Peter hunt on the terraces for a mid week game 1975 (ish )
Lastly - spent an evening with one of the nicest footballers that ever lived - Gareth Southgate. A real gent.
  • I saw Luke Young on my flight out to the Haye vs Klitschko (sp) fight in Hamburg in July. He looked really thin and was with a couple of mates in some rascal clobber.
Was on Easy Jet too - I guess QPR don't pay too well?
  • About 6/7 years ago went to the curry house next to The George in Bexley after chucking out time for a pissed up munch with about 10 mates. Anyway, half way through us making a mess of ourselves and enjoying our Vindaloos I notice a couple sitting next to us - It was Super Clive and his wife. We were obviosuly swearing being loud etc etc, and he and his wife just sat there quiet. I was the first to notice him, and thought praise be to God I hope no one sees him...no chance, 5 mins later Chinese whispers all the way down to the other end of the table, it gets to my absolutely smashed mate sitting right beside him who supports Man U (say what you see...prrriiicckk) - I saw it coming and cringed...."that Clive Mendonca's shit!" Queue exit, but Super Clive being Super didn't take the bait, and as a gentleman left without a murmer....very funny though....what a lege
  • I think Diego Poyet was right in front of me on Saturday as I was walking up Floyd road but I wasn't 100% sure because it as dark.
  • I once saw Curbs going for a Curry near Woodford Bridge .
