So how about these 6, for Lookie to design, and we have a vote on it?
"Live, love, laugh and be happy"
“from a Jimmy Seed grew this”
Charlton Legends Banner
‘7 grounds, 1 Home. The Valley’
‘This is the Covered End’
‘Summers 47, 64, 73, 78, 81’

And i'm not sure on the Johhny Summers one, it seems a bit too specialist to me. Sorry, not trying to be negative.
Perhaps something about his socks? ;o) ...or am I just being mischievous???
I'll let you good people decide, I always see South London as something different to South East London, like SE London is a morally, culturally and more evolved place
Who plays in South-East London apart from us? (imagine if London had an S Postcode, Palace and Millwall would both have it, although Palace is in Surrey...)
[cite]Posted By: AFKA Bartram[/cite]"Live, love, laugh and be happy" is a nice catchy line, but i really can't see it as an inspirational banner.
'The Pride of South East London' would seem more apt.

I'm neutral on LLL&BH - I agree it's not exactly inspirational, but as philosophies go it's a fairly good one. And while I know the song is utterly lacking in street cred, it's something that's uniquely ours rather than generic Premiership / Sky TV soundtrack fodder .
Pride of South East London is right - we may be number one in South London, but being the pride of Wandsworth, Balham, Thornton Heath and Mitcham is not something we can legitimately claim, and quite frankly I don't think I'd want to.
OK, so I'm biased on the Johnny Summers one, but I don't think it's that specialist, as it refers to one of the games in the Centenary Greatest Game vote, and there was a lot of mention of the significance of the 7-6 scoreline in relation to it following the 1998 Play-off Final penalty shootout. (Which is the main reason I read up about it, as I wasn't born back then, in fact my Dad was only 11 at the time). Admittedly it'd be clearer if it was "Summers 47, 64, 73, 78, 81, Ryan 63, 89" but we'd need a double length banner to fit all that in. Anyway, having got people used to the goal times with the first set of banners, hopefully anyone who didn't know what it referred to would ask around.
"7 grounds 1 home" is perfect. It has a message and it relates to both the present and our history. It also has the "what are the 7 grounds, dad?" factor
Prefer "No.1" to "pride" as the later is a bit corny, Lonsdale shirt.
BTW as official Chair of the Valley Flags Campaign (it's on the bank account) I get the casting vote :-)
Pride / No 1 - there is a good chance in the not to far future we might not realistically be able to say 'No 1', but the Pride is something that can never be doubted.
Exactly Rothko, according to you South East is a utopia of friendship and happiness, where as in South London there has been five murders in 10 days... :-)
My point on the pride / No1 thing is if you start using ranking numbers, there is a liability you could come unstuck. Petty i know, but if we go down and had a bad season next year, while Palace did well, you can see what would be said.

Aye, Kennington, 'North' Clapham, Etc are South London. The SLP is a good example, very much a Lambeth, Wandsworth, Croydon paper, not much about Greenwich and most of Lewisham, which are South East London.
As I said, different morals, they're scumbags the other side of Nunhead

Add 'The Pride of South East London' to the list.
Leave the Summers one in, it goes to the vote, and as they say on Big Brother.
YOU DECIDE!
NUMBER ONE IN SOUTH LONDON
I was just going to suggest "Curb-it & Tavern 2gether 4ever, 4years 2come"
Leave it as Pride of South London!
