    That's what I'm doing but he just doesn't seem to get in the right place :( he comes to far up the pitch.

    play him as a poacher along side kermorgant as a target man, that partnership scored a hatful for me in league one and champ.

    I played Hayes alongside BWP. Even though he had a crap record. 20 hour and 15 hour goal droughts.
    My tactics replicate what we play under powelly at the moment, however move attacking and more emphasis on short passing.

    I play Hayes deep lying forward, gives BWP more space on his own up the top.

    I have the same problem at the moment. I think it's becuase they are doing an update but i could be wrong.

    Play Dale Stephens as an attacking playmaker. Has got 15 assists and I'm only just in January.

    I'm always rubbish at this game.

    Always get sacked with Charlton every year, every game.

    This year started much better, out of both cups early but also had a spell of 10 league wins in a row. Was 7 points clear at turn of the year.

    Was offered the QPR job in December.

    Then BWP got injured, out for 2 months.

    Since then we've scored 2 goals in 6 games, and dropped to 4th in the table (only 2 points behind top, but still falling behind).

    Sorry people , i have brought shame upon this great club , i was sacked on January 1st after being in 5th place! unperturbed i have restarted and am in 6th at the end of Feb , not sacked yet!

    Since the year Dowie took over i've been terrible with charlton on football manager. Always used to be able to get into the champions league within a couple of seasons with them no problem. I remember one football manager game (06 it was i think?) i managed to sign a relatively unproven Lionel Messi from Liverpool, looking back it would have been amazing if something like that happened in real life.

    Had a nightmare preseason, BWP and Kermit got injuries (3 months, 4 months). Bought Loy and he seems to be doing well 6 in 6. Euell as a DLF has worked well.
    So far 4th after 9 games, one point off top.

    im struggling preseason.

    my training is medium-heavy concentration on defensive. beat crawly 1-0 then lost to Reading 6-0 and westham 2-0. Cant seem to defend at all in any tactic. should i just go attacking?
