Hart to Forest?

  • @Rob - why would you bother asking for permission to speak without having at the very least an indication that the person will be receptive to the idea?

Still, he's been in the game long enough that I imagine he'll be entirely professional and get on with the job in hand
  • The question is. Did he apply for the job or did Forest approach us on their own? That's key I think cos it tells us how settled he is with us. Maybe we'll never know that.

If he applied then he's playing a stupid game. I'm not sure that Forest asked permission either, though I stand to be corrected on that. Taking the job would be a hospital pass, he might get more money, but is likely to be out of work himself in a year or so, then he'll be unemployed. Meanwhile he will have turned his back on a nice safe and lucrative job at Charlton. Coaches who gain a reputation for bringing players on and who have no ambition to manage themselves are like gold dust for many clubs. With players still costing stupid money home grown and developed talent is the way to proceed.

This looks like a typical press story - manager at club gets the sack so the media cast around for likely replacements and print something. Meanwhile the news that in this case Paul Hart is wanted is news to both him and the club that is allegedly trying to sign him.

  • Going to appoint Steve Cotterill. Strange one that.
  • Thanks for pooping by. What do you think of the new appointment @JT how are the rest of the supporters taking it?
  • Blimers !! Just returned home from a VERY hot week in Tenareef to read that the curse of NWKA has nearly struck again !!!

Why not come along to Bexley Park Sports & Social Club on Thursday 7th November to ask Paul for his side of the story ......and to hear why he's committed to Charlton.
