Pacey beast centre back and a target man please. I expect Elliot and Francis will be leaving now. Will also need another striker if Benson goes.
I think we need another striker anyway.
Would be nice but as dabos said it'll be hard keeping them all happy - even more so with only 5 subs. Wagstaff gives us another option up front as well.
CP confirmed in his Millwall post match comments he would like another striker as he doesnt think Popo is ready yet.....so I guess it watch this space over next day or two!!
Interesting, just seen that Hughes played 180 games for Reading mostly as a right or left winger. Everywhere else he's been called a right/left back who can play central midfield.
Brother-in-law (LEEDS FAN) says this is a fantastic signing for us, bit of a fans favourite up there apparently. 100% every time he pulled the shirt on for them.
I remember Andy Hughes from his Reading days when he used to play on the right wing. Lost his place there and then the next time saw his he was at Leeds playing leftback.
Okay player he can do a good job, but i imagine he will mostly be of use off the pitch providing experience and leadership to some of the younger players.
Good signing who will do okay for us and fill some holes in the squad
Leeds supporting friend of mine had this to say about him
"Yeah be a quality buy mate. isnt technically brilliant but works his socks off, cm, lb, rb anywhere you put him really. He is still a fans favourite at our place.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
We all love him, cant speak highly enough of the bloke
He wont get forward much and he kinds just knocks it long when he gets the ball but you wont have too many people going past him.
He had a proper go at Alan Julian a couple of seasons ago when Julian started giving stick to our fans after the match at their place and Hughes runs up to him and pushed him n that, and could hear him shout “ what the (insert word) do you think your doing? You wanna have a go at them, come and have a go at me instead.” Legend!
Think we have missed him since he has gone to be honest mate, maybe not his abiltity, but his willinless to put in a tackle, put himself about a bit, and a player the fans get behind."

@Chicagoaddicktoday, i'll be basking in the glory of being right!
tomorrow, who knows!!
He made quite impression on me as 80/81 was my first season...standing on the East Terrace with my Uncle. Hopefully Hughes will too.
