Sometimes you think not much has changed then you read this thread...Another big change is 20-30 years ago the only black Irishman anyone had heard of was Phil Lynott, now we've got a black Irish US President!

Worse.. Music, Human Rights, Media, Sport(business orientated), EU
Better...Cars, Food (some), TV.

As I am sure you are aware Saga.......Lynott was born in Hallam Hospital (now Sandwell General Hospital) in West Bromwich (then in Staffordshire), England, and christened at St. Edwards Church in Selly Park, Birmingham. His mother, Philomena (or Phyllis) Lynott (b. 22 October 1930), is Irish, and his father was Cecil Parris, an Afro-Guyanese.[2][3] Some news and fan-site sources more specifically said that he was an Afro-Brazilian,[4][5] but in an August 2009 interview Parris's wife said that he was from Georgetown, British Guiana........So an Irishman by choice, still that aside a great musician much missed.

- for those who are saying that music is worse now. Great music is definitely being made now, but you're just not listening to it / don't know about it.
