I was pleasantly surprised, particularly in the 2nd half, we looked surprisingly well organised. Not going to say anything else, to draw conclusions at this early stage would be unfair but I was impressed with Green.
I seem to have the opposite view to most on here in as much as I thought Bover was average at best and looked far too light weight. I also thought Hayes showed some promise. He has a good first touch and was dropping off looking for the ball and then trying to play his team mates in.
Didn't help that he was alongside a youngster and got very little service from the flanks. Wagstaff had a bit of a mare.

i agree clem, didn't think bover was all that looked abit anxious but that's understandable. and hayes was a good link up from mid to attack. impressed with both though.
I thought that Mambo was looking a better and stronger player then he was at the beginning of last season, he was winning plenty of challenges and passing the ball out nice n simple
I actually agree with the comments regarding Elliot.
I like the guy, its just i thought second half we looked more organised at the back, probably helped by Sullivan's constant voice. There were occasions in the first half where it seemed communication was not there, whether that was down to Elliot i don't know, but at this moment in time i feel Sullivan should be our number 1.
What shone through today was that we were playing much more through midfield and that the midfield were much more offensive. First half Warren, Isqideiro, Wiggins and Stephens impressed. Second half Green, Morrison were the pick of the bunch. Andersen did well at left back but would have been interesting to see him at CH. I know his record isn't good but I thought Williams did okay and took his goal well. Was also impressed by Hollands and Pritchard showed some nice touches. Not really any negatives.
Other positives, no sign of either Francis or McCormack.
So I take it we'll be playing 4-4-2 then? Or does anyone think when Alonso joins the squad we might move to a 4-5-1? Personally I prefer 4-4-2 so hopefully we'll stick with the current formation. Thanks for the info everyone

Don't see where he fits in though? If he comes in, he will be no more than a squad player. We don't need anymore central midfielders.
Priority for me has to be another CB, another RB and striker.

Was most impressed with Bover, Green, Solly, Morrison, Doc, Mambo & Pritchard.
Thought Jackson & Hayes were off the pace a bit. We need to make sure they play as many games as possible because they missed the end of last season.
Communication non existant. Leading to chaos at the back a couple of times.
Kicking poor.
Defensively we look much more relaxed when Sullivan is in the team.
