  • It's tough getting in the Bremen first XI - Per Mertesacker is the club captain and a German international and Mikael Silvestre, there's Podl an Austrian international and Clemens Fritz and they are all guaranteed starts if fit. My guess is that he's getting fed up with being a permanent reserve and wants some first team action.
  • i think if we take him on powell's obviously rated him. think that'll be the defense done then. 1 more striker and this is stupidly strong squad.

Clearly CP didn't sign him though.
  • he's still on trial...
  • Looks decent, got work tommrow will miss the welling game, Let us know how you guys rate him
  • Surely he can't be any worse than recent defenders.Bring him in.
  • Had him om FM a few years back, great player on that anyway :)
  • I mentioned on the other thread that I thought he did well today.
I was slightly disappointed that he played left back because I wanted to see him at cb.
He was quick and did his defensive duties effectively.
He also supported the attack a couple of times but did not look as good as Wiggins going forward.
In all a different sort of left back so could provide something different and add depth to the squad.
  • good lad, think he woulda been tested more first half but thought he did well and the whole defence looked solid 2nd half.
  • Personally thought he had a better all round game than Wiggins.

  • I liked him. Could be a useful addition to the squad.
  • Looked promising ... Should give him more chances in the friendlies

He is a left back, not a centre-back.
  • he can play both so maybe used as a cover

Thanks. Wonder why we need Andersen at all then with Wiggins and Evina. Maybe Evina will be back up to Jackson at LM?
  • andersen can play as a cb too. gives us 4 with 2 being able to play lb/rb. good enough cover for me i say.

I'm sure it's left back in FM.

One of the German FM researchers confirmed to me he's mainly a left back, but he's physical enough to play centre back.
  • Oh? Maybe you're right? I played him at centre half and was brilliant. Could be a useful addition.
  • If he has impressed Powell you'd think we would sign him. Otherwise what is th epoint of having a player on trial.

For fitness? It has been mentioned on here that he has had injuries in the past.
  • He looked decent today at welling but didn't really have a big part to play today

Patience, Muttley. He's been here only a few days, he gets 45 mins to
see how he performs in game conditions - and then he's orf to jolly old
Spain so they can look at how he fits in.

  • I'm not asking for him to be signed immediately, just observing that it looks a decent chance he will be signed.
  • Looked solid
  • I have been thinking about this potential signing and doind a bit of research - and tbh, I don't think we are getting excited enough about this.

Didn't realise the  guy was on the bench in the Champions League last season. In my book, that would give him the best pedigree of all our defenders, and think he would be a great step up from Llera as a left sided centre half in the squad. He should, by all accounts be quality at League 1 level.

I haven't seen any of the friendly games, and I would be interested to see how he looks at the Woking game when I will next go (Cant tell too much from 45 mins at Welling). Got to be a good chance that he will finish off our quota of centre backs.
