The run in from February onwards especially looks very kind on paper to us. From the start of February we have 18 games left, 10 of those are at home and all against teams you would expect to either be mid table, pushing for a play-off spot, or in the bottom half, they are: Rochdale, MK Dons, Stevenage, Colchester, Notts County, Yeovil, Orient, Walsall, Wycombe, and Hartelpool.
This run in is vital for us if we want to get promoted this season. In that list there is no teams you would class as big teams, there is no Sheff Wed, Sheff Utd, Huddersfield.. IMO I think if we get off to a good start of the season and we're in a strong position when we hit the half way mark we should leave ourselves with a great chance to go up.
Once we get to the new year we have 23 games left, 13 of those are home games, which we need to make The Valley a place where we're hard to beat and where we pick up the majority of our points this coming season. The away games from the new year includes teams of, Huddersfield, Sheff Wed, Preston, and Carlise. These are tough places to go to.
Overall, I am very pleased with this lot of fixtures, I think it could have been a lot worse. As long as we make some good quality signings this summer, and we add some quality during the season, maybe from Premier League loans, then I am confident that this will be our season.
