Also MK Dons at home on Valentines Day - Feb 14th. What sort of masochistic idiot plans football matches on Valentines night...there are plenty of other Tuesday nights! It'll end in tears....
Really Solar? Did you get this email? What a bunch of pansies. Would have been a nice easy fixture for everyone.
I sent e-mail regarding 'local' game for Boxing Day, and the MK Dons games being midweek again (mucks up my family reunion plans again). The FL replied - quite quickly- with the info re Leyton police ("bunch of pansies" is polite reaction compared to a more appropriate 5-letter epithet!), and also that the clubs have all asked for 'interim distance' fixtures for midweek travel, hence MK Dons, Colchester, Wycombe all Tuesday games.
Crickey i feel cold thinking about Yeovil away on Boxing day , who had that idea then? why couldn't we have had Brentford or Leyton Orient? i know they're supposed to be computer generated.
E-mail from FL advises that Leyton police objected to a Boxing Day fixture v. CAFC!!!
And the police wont object to New Year's Eve Orient v Charlton
I don't mind Yeovil on Boxing Day as it's a fixture I'm willing to miss, but I agree it's a bit silly. The midday kick-off thing only applies in London and is down to the Met, so as above it will be 3pm.
I'm sure we'll have a few hundred there regardless.
@WSS - i think H hopes to takeover some converted barns walking distance from the pub... you could wine and dine your missus on boxing night down there. Dead romantic. If they are up and running by then.
As above I don't understand how the Old Bill would rather play Orient v Charlton at 3pm on NYE than at noon on Boxing Day... no idea why they would even be bothered!

Really that is not thinking of fans. It's the interim distance games that I usually go to if they are on a saturday. I cant make it during the week and im not going to hartlepool or carlisele whenever we play them

Perhaps the Intelligentsia within the Met who deal with football policing, think Orient v Charlton is a euphemism for West Ham v Millwall.....?
cant wait to see what the monkey hangers will be dressed up as again last game of the season, bournemouth first and hartlepool last isisnt that the same as last season? might miss scunny and sheff weds home due to holidays but hey ho, walsall at home day after my bday must be easter monday should be good.
Yes, going to Yeovil may actually represent a good excuse to escape the festivities for a day. If we are doing well, I may give it some serious thought - wouldn't want to go there and see us lose though.
Mucked up our plans for a visit too. Big rockabilly bash at Dingwalls on December 11th, so had hoped to come over from about the 2nd to the 13th Dec, bound to be a home game one of those Saturdays wasn't there... Ah no, of course not.
as long as it does rain like last time - if it snows we will be turned into snowmen !!!
It didn't rain last time, Golfie .......it was miserably grey and dry; just what you can expect in February. And we won 1-0, despite getting a pounding in the last 10 minutes.
Now the monsoon, the year before - that was something else. Stand up all you CLIT people who missed the entire 2nd half of that match, swigging wine in the dry of the coach.

Anyone happy with Yeovil away clearly doesnt have kids.
Or indeed a family
I have kids & family & am very happy, as I will stay at home with them for once & not have to go to watch Charlton. If CAFC are at home I have to go & if it's a local away game, I'd also almost certainly go. So as it's riduculous - fine - I don't feel the need to go.
Anyone created / found a way of putting these into a calendar automatically yet?
Must say, I read the whole thing and found it completely underwhelming. I got a text last night from my swansea supporting friend who said that Fixtures Eve for him this year was like Christmas Eve but better.

FA Cup second round on the 3rd - if you're lucky!
I don't do luck Rick. So have changed plans to be there for Brentford away and Huddersfield at home.

Remember being at Old Trafford last match of the season, when we got relegated in 1990.
Fancy dress, silliness and lots of fun.
