  • Just had a thought what better thing for a chairman to do in a live interview than announce a signing?  Probably never going to happen but you never know
  • Will not be around to hear this (Getting mullered at golf by my son) , any chance someone can post the gist of what they are saying please ....thankyou
  • Would also appreciate a brief synopsis as I'm going out for my long run in about half an hour. Thanks!
  • it may well be recorded to be honest will try and listen and take a note
  • I think I heard them say it will be between 3 and 4
  • Interesting just then, we have a significantly higher budget than other clubs in the division. What about not having much higher than rochdale?
  • Peter Varney spoke very well on the Academy status.
  • Both speak well. Liked Varney referring to Wigan as "relegation fodder".
  • wonder who the brentford player who thought we'd offer double wages was, when varney was talking about players and wages.

Legge, Weston or MacDonald I'd say.

Well what I've taken from it so far in terms of transfers is, we won't be spending loads of money but we are looking to bring in a load of players.

Looking at the best league one players maybe?

  • Very interesting re: Zabeel. Contracts were drawn up and was a real 11th hour back down on "moral grounds"
  • Nothing surprising there. We were losing 4m anyway, extra costs with academy and transfer fees can easily make it up to 5.
  • I knew we was close to adminstistration, but when he puts it like that, we would of ended up in league 2, really brings it home.

  • Some home truths .... respect to Michael slater/ Tony jimenez
  • GREAT SEASON WELL DONE CHRISSY P!
  • Discussion around administration. Sounds like we were on the brink last January. Could have been worse than -10 points. Total oblivion was beckoning.

no cody mcdonald on target list
  • Cody McDonald. Not on our list. Looked but not persuing.
  • Inevitable that someone will go bust in the next couple of years.
  • Inevitable that someone will go bust in the next couple of years.
    Look at Portsmouth
  • When relegated from prem wage budget under Pardew was 18m. Avg Championship wage bill at the time 5.2m
  • Slater "being involved with a football club beats selling widgets".
  • We still need to know guys who owns the other 40% of the club please.

Do we? What difference does it make? If the authorities don't need to know, why do we?

    We're not shareholders anymore.
  • I have a clip of Robert Maxwell from the 1984 winding-up saying there are too many clubs and that it's inevitable lots of them will go under. In fact it was him who went under . . .
  • Premier League 2 inevitable. 18 team top division. Celtic and Rangers will come back into the equation.
