Yeah 100% going there with a 2 goal lead you should absolutely make the final. But i wouldn't be surprised if Bodo score early and it goes horribly wrong.1

As I said to the fellas last night - if you're 3-0 or 3-1 down at HT in the tie, what club would you want it to be against?!
Funnily enough, we all said Spurs...
Dr Tottenham will see you now...2 -
I hadn't realised quite how far north Bodo was. Extraordinary that the top club in Norway can be based in such a remote backwater.

Man U 0 Spurs 3 - PL
Spurs 4 Man U 3 - League cup
Spurs 1 Man U 0 - PL
Based on that it seems pretty inevitable that United are going to win the final.1 -
There needs to be a conversation about the Conference League, which has failed in its objective for smaller nations to win something, it's been an England/Italy thing in the main, with the occasional Spanish interest0

With the new CL format you don't get clubs dropping out of that down into the Europa now, so you'd expect PL clubs to be amongst the favourites to win it every season.1 -

I've always been a big fans of rewarding teams that win things. Winning the EL to reach next season's CL feels a much more earned prize than finishing 5th to reach the CL.1 -

260/1 for Bodo v Bilbao final.
Had to have a couple of quid on it as if spurs and Utd both concede early goals, they are capable of imploding.2 - Sponsored links:

Tbf both are capable of imploding from decent winning positions within a game as well, especially Spurs who have almost become a parody of themselves as losers.0
-
Maddison out for the season, along with Bergvall.
There goes every last ounce of creativity out of the starting XI. Only Kulusevski is capable of playing the 10 role but he's come back from injury wearing concrete boots by the looks of it. If he can find the form he was in before Christmas and the massive run of injuries, we may have a chance.
You'd have to put United as favourites now, assuming both go through.0 -

Spurs however are a different story, they will definitely be in trouble if they concede first.0 -
Given that ticket allocations are a pretty hot topic on this forum currently, i've just read that Spurs' allocation for Bodo Glimt away tonight is..........404, of which 10 are for wheelchair/assistants.
So 394 tickets for a European semi final!0 -

I want Spurs to win for Ange -
Followed him here in OZ and have a lot of time for him.
Would love it if he won and shoved the press' face in it.
He has handled the pressure exceptionally well in my view.

It is pretty funny though seeing them go from being in a title race to working out how many points they need to secure top 5.1 -
The guaranteed schadenfreude of either Man U or Spurs ending the season with nothing but a bottom half finish is nice, but for me, I’d much rather we were laughing at Man U.
Apart from anything else, my perception is that Spurs want to win because they really want to win a trophy and Champions League qualification is a bonus, while for Man U, it’s the other way round. Champions League qualification seems to be the main driver for them and their fans. And that doesn’t sit right with me. It should be about winning, not having a chance to challenge next year.
Also, fuck Man U. They’ve won enough over the years.3 -

There's a whole generation of the support that haven't seen us lift a European trophy. To do that again, so long after '84 would be amazing.
It would be a game changer for the younger generation.
I think its totally wrong that winning it qualifies for the CL. It would make much more sense if the winners defended the trophy the following season.
But then I also think 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th shouldn't qualify for the CL because I'm old school. But UEFA wouldn't like that!

it's funny that Arsenal are going to have a worse season than one of Spurs or Man Utd1

6 English clubs in the Champions League next season, that's nearly a 3rd of the Premier League...
