I landed at Gatwick at 9:41pm and refused to engage with the hand luggage until we'd seen out injury time.
Didn't think we'd go through in all honesty but there you go. Both teams would have been expecting Lazio in the semi.
Would much rather United in the final as we've smashed them 3 fimes this season.
We all know what happens though. We win the Europa and them pricks at the other end of the Seven Sisters Road win the bloody CL.
You should have more faith and stop fretting about the Woolwich rejects winning the CL and spoiling your team’s moment of glory, remember it’s Spurs, it’s the end of season, your team will choke. #youarewelcome
Bodo/Glimt are a remarkable club. Was listening to an interview with one of their executives on one of the recent Price of Football podcasts.
Their fans wave toothbrushes around in the stand as some sort of gimmick. Basically they are so far away from any other club, that every journey means having to pack a toothbrush. Their ‘local’ rivals are a one hour flight away!
And if anyone is wondering why the ‘slash’ is in their name, it’s because betting slips many years ago would have hyphens separating the two teams, and there are other “Glimt” sides. So you could have had something that reads ‘Bodo-Glimt-Glimt’, so the slash was put in there to distinguish themselves
I've got no problems with the Europa League winners make it into the Champions League, as it's a good way of making that competition more important.
I've always wanted the FA Cup winners to get a Champions League place for similar reasons, winning something should rank higher than coming 4th in the league.
Spurs and United have lost 31 Premier league games before them and are 14th and 15th position.
It's total bollocks that either could end up in the non-Champions league.
Why is it bollocks? Everyone knows the rules at the start of the season because the winner of the Europa has qualified for the CL for the last 10 years and no one has ever really cared.
Did anyone say it was total bollocks when Wigan won the FA Cup and got into Europe but finished 18th and were relegated?
It's total bollocks that Charlton won't be playing on a Thursday night in Europe after Thomas SandGaard promised we would be after 5 years 😤
I like Spurs so will have to cheer them on like I did last night but still think calling the CL the 'Champions' league is a misnomer and have always thought that since the demise of the European cup.

Everyone knows that the CL in it's current format is basically entirely aimed at preventing a super league.
A format where the top 24 qualify (one way or another) thus ensuring it's practically impossible for the big clubs to finish in the bottom 8 and get knocked out. Now at a minimum they are guaranteed to play either 8 or 10 games before the last 16 stage and of course more games = more money.
I only watched the 1st half but watching Harry Maguire and his skills was worth it. I bet in his head he was imagining himself as George Best. Bloody funny!

I like Harry Maguire, maximised the most of his ability, never shied away when things have gone wrong, gives 100% every time he plays.

As an England fan I'd agree. I've probably not seen enough premier league/europa league football to say either way how good he is for United, but I'm sure majority of their fans wanted rid for a while? He was getting slated a lot or ive imagined it. Now he's hero

You mean lying in a bed of money drinking champagne with Miss World?
It really doesn't say much for this competition when the 14th and 16th placed teams from the PL are going to the final. Interestingly the results between Spurs and Man U this season were:
Man U 0 Spurs 3 - PL Spurs 4 Man U 3 - League cup Spurs 1 Man U 0 - PL
Based on that it seems pretty inevitable that United are going to win the final.

Have you seen much of United this season? I certainly wouldn’t be ruling out a complete collapse/Bilbao comeback next week.

Irritates the life out of me how the modern prem fan living in New Delhi or somewhere will wreck him on social media. Clueless.

I just feel that with how their Europa campaign has gone, their name is on the trophy.
Injury time equaliser in Porto Came from behind to beat Bodo Glimt Came from behind to beat Plzen (88th minute winner) Injury time winner v Rangers Sociedad had a man sent off Lyon had a man sent off 3 late goals in extra time v Lyon to claw back a 6-4 deficit and win in injury time Bilbao had a man sent off
As I said beforehand, would much prefer Utd in the final over Bilbao. We've comprehensively taken them to the cleaners 3 times this season, twice with a scratch team made up of 2nd and 3rd choices (debatable whether Fraser Forster is even 3rd choice now!)
Saved our best performance of the season for last night by some distance. That was better than the 0-4 at the Ethiad. We controlled the entire game from start to finish. Just gutted we conceded with yet another deflection (thats happened time and time again this season) which sets up the second leg in the Arctic Circle. Nothing like Spurs to add a bit of jeopardy.
Someone please tell me why Romero felt the need to forearm smash one of their players at 3-0 to pick up a cheap yellow?
Oh and @Chris_from_Sidcup - the question you asked a couple of weeks back. B. I choose Spurs to win the Europa then the Gooners win the CL by default. We have to focus on us and get over this trophy dodging drought.

Having said that i think it's probably far more likely that Spurs blow it.
Bodo got a late goal to give them hope, they've been very good at home in the Europa this year, they'll have 3-4 players missing last night back for the second leg, and Spurs lost Maddison and Solanke to injury last night. It's going to be very Spursy if they go and blow it.
Bodo also have an artificial pitch and Spurs struggled very badly when they played Tamworth earlier this season.

Because he's thug, dickhead or maybe a dickhead thug?

True, that thought it going through my head too but look at the line up we fielded that day. Of the team that started the Tamworth game, only Porro, Bissouma, Maddison and Johnson started that game. The back four was Porro, Dragusin, Gray and Reguillon. Spence wasn't even playing at that point of the season. Don't get me wrong, that was an appalling performance against Tamworth but we never looked like losing that game at any point with 77% The issue we was unable to break them down. We started with Timo Werner at CF with a 17yo Mikey Moore making one of his only starts for Spurs with Johnson on the other side. We had more than enough out there BUT it was a team that had never started together before.
As long as we pick our strongest team and they play as they can do, we should have more than enough to go there and win let alone anything else.
Famous last words I know (and no doubt will come back to bite me on the arse... its Spurs after all FFS!)
Sounds like Maddison and Solanke were taken off as a precaution last night, nothing serious.
Play the kids against West Ham in the London PL wooden spoon cup final...

a) not win the Europa if it means Arsenal do not win the CL.
b) win the Europa and get into the CL, but it means Arsenal win the CL.

I suspect that UEFA would be delighted with an all English final, as it creates a real story.
