  • Ben Davisson also extended till end of the year.
  • Good luck to them all.

Powell must see something in Yado that I don't.  Maybe he just threatened to eat him if he didnt get his contract extended.

  • Totally agree WSS, maybe he has the touch of the Shittus about him?

I expect this will be Mambo's last chance, really has to push on more than he did this season. He'll probably end up going out on loan again.

Most surprising is Ben Davisson has got an extension until the end of the year. He's a decent footballer but I'm not convinced he has enough about him to make it with us. He got a run of games at Hastings, perhaps he has impressed.

Good luck to Worner, Tuna, Stavrinou and Perkins, hopefully they can all find a club that will give them regular football at a decent level.
  • Surprised about Worner, think he's looked pretty good in the few games he's had. Suppose that might make it more likely that Sullivan will sign permanently.
  • I had a touch of the Shittus last weekend ;0)
  • Worner isnt good enough, has no presence which is needed with a goalkeeper (the reason why Connor Gough has a contract).

Tuna should be on the only way is essex

Perkins i cant really comment on

Stav isnt good enough for League one football.
  • I was also surprised to see Worner go, even if Sullivan does sign, Worner was one for the future.
  • Good luck to those moving on but this is only the usual end of season first wave of young pros not being retained. What I want to hear is how many of the so called established pros who cant cut the mustard have been given the boot!
  • Think Worner looked to small to make it in today's modern game where GK's need to be big athletes. Similar problem to Robbie in that he just isn't a natural athlete. Sullivan at least does.

  • @Deadred Senior pros are being told tomorrow.
  • Not surprised at any of them being released tbf, although I though we would have Worner on a 2 year contract not just a year.

Disappointed that Tuna has been released. Thought he looked a prospect. Guess it's a case of nor progressing last year.
  • @WSS How quick do you think the released list will be announced after tomorrow?
  • @mart77 Havent got a clue to be honest.  Don't see the reason to delay it too much.

  • @WSS Cheers, could tell us quite a bit once it's announced.
  • Let's have a guess of who will be on it.

Doherty? Dailly? Fortune? Llera? Ayinsah? Reid? Racon? elliot? Semedo?

    McCormack and Francis contracts terminated?
  • Dailly's been offered a contract for next year, Llera's already confirmed he's going back to Spain. Were McOxo and McCormack given 1 or 2 year deals?

  • Pretty sure they both got 2 year deals (as did Doherty).

Elliot's got another year as well.
  • We do need a big clear out, hopefully we keep the ones we want and can bring in some quality

    @MrLargo

McOxo and McCormack are the same person!

  • None of this first wave are a surprise, glad Warner has not been extended as he is no where near good enough at this level whether we are after promotion or not.
  • I have a feeling Waggy is out of contract too.

    Anybody know for sure?

  • McOxo and McCormack are the same person!   Haha

Wouldn't mind seeing some of the midfield stay, I'd be happy if we got shot of the whole back four tbh.

  •

Waggy signed a two year deal at the start of the season .

  • I thought Waggy/Solly and BWP are the only definitives to be here next season

Definitely two years? I thought I read somewhere it was one.
  • Shame about Llera, he's better than Mambo, Doherty and Fortune, so looks like we will be signing 4 centre backs next season, how many games will we lose with them running about getting in each others way will we get? I think we need a balance between new blood and people that understand the club already, else we will be playing catch up all season yet again.
  • For the benefit of Big Red Evil I know one of Robbies relatives and he often gives me the inside track. He is under contact for next year but knows nothimg about him leaving.
  • Hope that Dailly gets a new one year deal. Three new centre backs plus him and I would be happy.
