  • Incorruptible thinks we will. Beauty of the search engine in a years time.

I still think our best XI is still top 6 material, Jackson, BWP, Racon would get into any side in this league on their day.

We have to keep those three and totally rebuild the spine next season, keeper, centre back, holding midfielder (sorry Jose) and another striker.

That should be good enough to get us out of this hell hole league as long as the manager does his job properly.

You'd have Racon over Semedo, Southend?
  • Im not Semedos biggest fan I am afraid, gives the ball away too easily imo.

Racon can be a class above in this division, he needs to show it more consistently but wouldnt want to lose him and then see him doing the business for Palace next season.
  • Racon can be but too often is not imo.
I'd rather him do a job for someone else than keep him hoping he'll do a job for us.
Keep Semedo and blood a youngster alongside who wants to get at defenders and have a crack at goal.
A work horse like back four and another striker.

Hate to say it but Millwall have had a pretty decent formula over the last few years.
  • But according to our match ratings, he has been one of our best players this season!
  • I really should start putting those in.
  • [cite]Posted By: PL54[/cite]Who and where are all these brilliant players we are going to sign for next season ?

    Can't see it happening.

(and what has gone wrong with the quoting thing on here)

Nothing. Have you got your BBCode at the bottom of the page switched on / click in the BBC circle ?

  • Seen the 'highlights' on the BBC. I am not impressed with Bessone's defending for the first Southampton goal. It looks as though he has wandered out of position. That is not the first time. It seems to be a feature of his game.

Unless he can discover some positional discipline, I am not sure if he is the answer to our left back position.

Compare him to Frazier Richardson at right back for us, who's positional sense and discipline was spot on.

When the full back attacks, either the LM drops in to cover or the defence shuffles across. Youga was seen as a poor defender when he got up and Bailey drifted inside leaving holes. It's a problem with a) our shape which is down to our manager to solve and b) our back four(s) which needs sacking. Richardson had Sam putting in a shift, as does Waggy. It's not Racon's position so he has to learn it, JJ will give more protection.

You'll never see Youga in a Charlton shirt again.
  • I think you could be surprised.
  • I do like surprises.

Me to, if they are nice! Don't like spiders suddenly dropping fro the ceiling or things like that!
  • Youga played alongside Powell so maybe he remembers the player he was.

As Powell says on the OS he's been out a very long time and needs to prove he is fit (and take a huge pay cut).

  • Just saw their goals on BBC site.
How bad is Bessone ? Nowhere to be seen for the 1st & then he doesn't bother to put in a tackle for the 2nd & just sticks his hand up instead.
    He's not looking promising.
  • leeds management described bessone as "shit" when colchester enquired what bessone was like as a player before we played them
