What's happened to choice

he don't post on here anymore, wondered if it was a barnie with someone, or something else hope it's nothing serious.

  • He read too many of your posts and chucked himself off Blackfriars Bridge
  • still posts on the facebook page so hes okay!
  • I recently saw him and Nicholas, the co-star from Choice's videos, loitering around the back of North Lower, Block E. Then on Saturday against Orient, Nicholas turned up at the back of Block E on his own. Used to enjoy those vids.
  • And there was me thinking this thread would be about NSS bemoaning the lack of variety in choice of bananas in his local Co-op!

Seemed to disappear after he could not get his photos on here, re his "guess the ground comp". Still looking forward to my prize from him. Just over a month to go, before the end of the season.
  • I spotted Choice and Nicholas filming behind the goal in the gangway at Dagenham near the end (I left just before Nouble scored)... if you will excuse the pun, I believe Nicholas was expressing some rather "choice" comments about our performance that day to the camera...

yeh all good - as Adam mentioned, im working on something new for 2011/12. We are legalising everything and setting up CHOICE Tv as CCTv (Charlton Choice Tv). This will be a social enterprise which is a not for profit organisation and we are currently seeking premises in the Woolwich area. We have put a lot of thought into this and spoken to lawyers regarding a number of aspects hence the legalities of what we have planned. The videos in their current format will stop shortly - we may produce one final film before the end of the season and that will be that....but whats coming is better and includes ideas that we have wanted to put into practice over the past year and a half.

Lol, I was on my todd too if that makes you feel better. At least you only got abandoned this season - my mate pretty much abandoned his season ticket about 10 games into our last season in the Championship and I've been Billy No-mates for home games ever since!
  • Lol that does make me feel better :) I'm sure they will all be back next season when were flying high. Ok maybe not but summer months at least.
  • Wil this stand alongside Charlton Live or is it in compeition with them.
I'm not saying it should be either, just interested to know how it all fits together?
  • why would anyone desert nicholas (the worlds oldest 26 year old)

I'm not fussed about it to be honest, all though a small donation to the Charlton Upbeats would satisfy myself.

Oi! I was catching you up Shirty : - )

But a donation to the upbeats or maybe a free DJ for a upbeats/Trust event is a very good idea. Up to Shirty and Choice to agree of course so just a suggestion.

I'm not saying it should be either, just interested to know how it all fits together?

After the initial "off the cuff" videos and when I started to develop CHOICE Tv, it was always the intention to provide something different for ex pats and people who couldn't get to games as well as the fans that did go. Something different that enabled those people to feel close to the club and experience the excitement and disappointment that we felt as fans attending the games. It was about passion and real emotion, for everyone to have their say whether it was positive or negative - thats what football is all about...the fans and opinions, not glossed over censored debate. The whole CHOICE Tv concept has grown naturally because its been driven by the fans, it was never intended in the first place..it just happened after I documented freak weather at a football game.

As far as how it fits together, of course people will draw their own conclusions that we are trying to rival other services but that isnt the case because theres nothing out there to rival, because what we are planning simply doesn't exist. Throughout last summer and for the first 6 months of this season I put forward a lot of ideas to the club and charlton live to improve the media content and give people what they wanted - (fortunately) those ideas were never developed and in the end I grew frustrated so it was agreed that we part company because my heart was in developing my CHOICE Tv project.

This new website now gives us the platform to bring those ideas to life and to make supporting Charlton the best possible online experience.
  • That Yeovil was excellent, really managed to capture the feeling / vibe of that day.

I note your use of the words "provide something different for ex pats and people who couldn't get to games as well as the fans that did go" and "driven by the fans"

which I thought was what Charlton Live was supposed to be about. And then your comments

"censored debate" and "what we are planning simply doesn't exist"

Which I will use to draw my own conculsions! I hope it works well. My only comment for having watched the videos is please remember my ears and eyes when you celebrate a good goal!

yes his video of the team leaving the Dagenham pitch really captured everything in full glory too.
    Lovely vibe.

Censored debate... you deleted my comments on your Facebook page about grown men booing on the Dagenham video? If that's not censored i dont know what is.
