not a sharp remark or narky or anything. I'm not trying to convince you or give out to you that we will get the playoffs, personally I dont think we will, ya just never know though, I mean there's technically a chance we will. I'm not giving up hope though. Just can't see how you can give up when it's not over yet.
And i dont have a clue about what that bet thing is. What is it?
Think this thread may have been started a few days early 'cos if by some chance we got a result against Saints Dave21 and Winters might have had a few more optomists joining them. So a possible 'bump' for this on Tuesday night. Personally I think it will be business as usual down there but............
We won't BUT - forget about what the others are doing and focus on clean sheets to stand any chance of a win. Win all remaining 7 games and hope a few others go our way and its mathematically possible. Just won't happen!
There's probably more chance of Gaddaffi turning up as US ambassador to the UK, although if we did go on a run and finished say,two points short of the play-offs it would somehow be even more maddening than the slow fizzle out we saw before yesterday. The post mortem into where those two points went could drag on for years, purely for the number of games that would have to be pulled apart....!
[cite]Posted By: ShootersHillGuru[/cite]Fair do,s Winters. The bet is not important. Glad you havnt had the realism ground out of you yet. I also doubt we will make the play offs.
Could see us winning most of them but not all - We have to accept that we are not going to do it this season. Draw at best on Tuesday - probably a defeat!
Yes, let's try for it - Bournemouth would have to get 11 points from 7 games which is an ask for them. However, we shouldn't forget that despite being the better side on Saturday, we could have easily lost that game. It was our first win in an age and defensively we still look fragile, so there is absolutely no evidence to suggest that we can get 3 points on Tuesday, let alone 7 wins from 7. But the Manager and players should target it - definitely - the pressure will be off and who knows!

only smarties have the answer
yep, but 74 points would have got you:
4th 2005/06
5th 2004/05
5th 2003/04
Oh yes it does ;0)
Dont smile like you know everything, I'm not saying we will make the playoffs, just saying its not impossible. and you have to agree with that
No need for the sharp remark Winters. No it's not impossible. But I'll have a ten pound demelza charity bet we don't.
Fancy it ?
And i dont have a clue about what that bet thing is. What is it?
By George this wine is good!
ah sure, heres to hoping!
I hear ya
Had a look at the table myself too
The question (that most people don;\'t want to see) is whether 7 wins (74pts) would be enough
Would love us to get the 74 points to find out
Haven't given up on this season yet myself
but we must win EVERY game from now on to stand any chance

Regardless Powell and the players should be aim to finish the season as well and as high as possible.
It would restore a little faith, give the fans a lift, boost ST sales and give all the players a better chance of a good contract here or elsewhere.
I'm not counting on it but let them at least try for 7 out of 7
Sweet.
Its the hope that kills you.
If we win (unlikely, but possible) and the O's loose we could hop up to 9th tonight.
Would be nice eh?
I need to start drinking soon...
