McCormack

  • [cite]Posted By: Se12Addick[/cite]One of the worst players ive ever seen play for Charlton, it really worries me that Powell has persisted in starting him - but at least we've got Francis out of the side now, cant be long left for McCormack. Offers absolutely nothing.

If Jacko was fit McOxo would be out I reckon.
  • Unfortunate that two defenders were injured today, otherwise Parrett might have had a run out. Highly rated apparently..

i'm very fond of a cote de rhone.

johnny boy, you've got better things to do with your weekend now, mate!

mind you, we're still going bournemouth if you fancy it.

ps. that's me, not the wife.
  • The worrying thing is I think he's on a 2-year deal, alongside Mr Doherty who the hell is going to take this couple of wallies off our hands?
  • [quote][cite]Posted By: Screamer[/cite]Wouldn't care if he broke his leg tbh[/quote]

    What a totally pathetic post!

He might be s**t but he is still a Charlton player. The fact that he isn't a great player is not his fault. If he is picked, he has to play, its his job, what do you want him to do, refuse to play?
  • Wishing ill on your own players is in my opinion a disgrace. I don't even like people wishing ill on other teams players so to do it to your own is shockingly bad taste. I don't think he's the best player we've had by a long chalk but I do think that he gives his best when he plays and I'm not sure that all of them are at the moment. If his best isn't good enough then that's not his fault. He probably thought he was moving to better things when he joined us. Sadly it seems he was wrong!!

    Agreed.

But I'd make an exception for Kevin Muscat.
  • Another scapegoat! Well it makes some feel good
I would think he created 3 of our best chances today. I dont like him aand wish we had better but we havent. I have desperately saying all season we need a central midfielder but qwe quite simply we aint got any.
Who the f**k do you want to play there.
Racon has failed so many times and has had a few 20 good minute spells in the last 2 years. Hasd he EVER had a good 90 miniutes!
If we had Bailey back then yes but otheriwise I'll com on and play
  • [cite]Posted By: redman[/cite]Who the f**k do you want to play there.

Well how about the bloke we've just brought in for a start?

thought he was on 1 yr, Doc and Francis 2yr. Could be wrong, bloody hope not. Even if he is on a 2yr deal tell him he's not in your plans for next season and he'd be better off finding another club.

  • quote 8 - Louie Spence lookalike. Said it to my ten year old as we watched tv last night. He agreed. Other than the obvious physical similarities there's the dramatic falling to the ground and the way he always ends up with his face buried in the brown stuff.
  • mccormack is shite, reid is overrated, we need jackson back and racon back in his preferred position
  • [cite]Posted By: LilAddick[/cite]mccormack is shite, reid is overrated, we need jackson back and racon back in his preferred position
Agree with most of that, except the last bit. Racon was hopeless, and has been for a while. Even though McCormack was his usual awful self, he at least won "A" tackle which was more than Racon achieved.

But the team itself is poor to the core. Nouble has the first touch of sledge hammer, BWP and Semedo were non-existant, Racon - crap, Mc - usual crap, Waggy running nowhere. Only Llera showed any passion, or had a shot on target.

    Worrying times!

The problem I have criticisiing McCormack is that he trys -he gives his all just isn't good enough. More an issue with Powell that he plays him. A squad player at best that you might get away with for a game or 2 in a confident team but what does he give you?

I think it is 2 years.
  • here here. i cant stand the bloke. crap player, crap person. never thought i could hate a player more than a cole....
  • He is the most horrendous player ive ever seen
  • Glad we sponsored his shirt. Who's idea was that?
  • McCormack........you are the weakest link. Goodbye
  • mcoxo is a seriously underrated player, he is not a bad player .... He is a terrible player, the worst I've ever seen wearing a charlton shirt playing in midfield.

Clear him out now, tear up his contract and ship him out like Abbott, I feel like this guy is stealing from me everytime he pulls the shirt on, hes just not good enough for this club.

  • agreed still cant believe he still started with parrett on the bench! we would have won with parrett playing yestaday!!!!
  • McCack is woeful. A bizarre signing, alongside Francis. Offers little and plays like a crab.
And that's a bit harsh on crabs.

This is a sensible post. Why the feck we see it as ok to vilify a Charlton player whose only sin is being not good enough but tries his best just like Francis is beyond me. Agree he isn't good enough for us but I don't hate him for it.
All this completely unnecessary venom makes me proud to support what I still believe is a family club.
  • Mr Powell please come to your sense's and hopefully sitting in the stands yesterday finally gave you the view of him we normally have without 21 players running in front of you crowding your view and judgement.
  • Anyone saying he tries his best is having a bloody laugh he jogs around like he's on a fun run.

For those saying that were you at MK on Tuesday... even when he'd given the ball away, he "tracks back" with the same application as your stereotypical samba centre forward.
  • Taxi for Mc Oxo....
YOu can take the doc, Francis...
Hang on a moment can we have a mini bus!
  • I thought he played ok yesterday, better than alot of his previous performances. That being said, I still dont think he is good enough to play for us (maybe a squad player).

I am disgusted that fans booed him when his name was called out before the kick, thats just disgraceful and there is no need for that. Its hardly going to improve his performance is it? Some Charlton fans are quite clearly dickheads (i thought we had got rid of them when we got relegated).

Agree with all of this. I can maybe understand why people would want to boo him after a poor performance, but to boo before the game has even started is out of order and just plain stupid, no matter how you feel about him. Probably came from the same group who told Semedo to 'f*ck off back to Portugal' after a misplaced pass.
  • It does make me laugh how people feel the need to slag off our players after making 'one mistake'. Absolutely pointless
  • He along with Francis has been poor most of the season, but what did we expect?

They were signed from a Southend team relegated to L2 last season, for nothing
