Forgot about Anyinsah. Would certainly keep him, maybe on a pay as you play deal or similar.
He is a great asset and we play better when he is in the side. Some of our best performances (later October/November) were when he was fit and firing whilst BWP/Anyinsah could be the right partnership.
Of the players that have played first team games this season: Worner Solly Jenkinson Llera Dailly (get him some sort of player/coach deal and help him develop, if that's what he wants of course) Jackson Reid Wagstaff BWP Benson Anyinsah
Players who've played this season to aspire to keep for me:
Elliot Jenkinson Llera Dailly Jackson Wagstaff BWP (hopefully on pay as you play given his knee injury)
I'd also consider keeping Semedo if he negotiated a sensible wage for this level and Anyinsah on pay as you play. I'd be happy to see Fry here too and perhaps Solly as a squad player but I would trust Powell's judgement there.
The rest including, sadly, that loyal servant Jon Fortune are either no longer up to it or never will be.
We would need at least one new keeper, two new centre backs, two centre mid's, a new winger on both sides, and 2 new strikers, one of them being a huge lump (Showunmi, Iwelumo, Manset, Parkin, players like that) and the other being a young pacy forward who can shoot from more than 10 yards out, so we'd be looking at 10 signings at least
Elliott (needs to get fit recover his best form or be replaced)
Jenkinson
Solly (to fight it out with Jenkinson as first choice right back)
Dailly (still think he's our best central defender and much quicker than Doherty - can't expect him to play every week though)
Llera (not first choice though)
Jackson (midfield not left back)
BWP
Anyinsah (if fit)
Youga (if fit and accepts pay cut)
Semedo (if he accepts a pay cut)
Wagstaff (useful squad player/sub)
Can't comment on any of the youngsters who've not made the first team yet
Am concerned though that Francis, McCormack, Doherty and Benson are all on 2 year contracts as I would like to say good riddance to those 4 but can't see anyone else mad enough to buy them
For the first time I can remember there is not one player I would be bothered about if he goes. I am very interested in what sort of players we bring in we need footballers with character badly and a few real leaders out in the middle.
[cite]Posted By: December_The_5th[/cite]What has reid done this season comes on with 20mins to go and other than mk dons at home in the league what games has he played well
il give you a chance name 1 other in the league he has played well
That's how your post looked after you edited it? Seriously? Awesome!

Agreed. There's a couple I'd rather have stay, but there are very few I'd be sorry to say goodbye to. I'm not sure I have ever felt that way about a squad before. For me to be desperate to see someone leave (namely McCormack) is a rare thing indeed!
Elliott - as good as any average third tier keeper.
Reid - provides (generally unfulfilled) hope that we might change the game. And you gotta have hope!
Jackson
BWP
The Kids
Benson (scores a lot on Fifa 11, which is as good as any reason stated above!)
I would say Racon and Semedo, because they can occasionally look like they belong at least one tier above ours. But they have been the most consistent part of a team that has been woeful for the last few years. So maybe, just maybe, they are part of the problem. Let's get rid of them and find out! Hey, we can't do much worse *ducks*

Not sure why these two keep getting lumped in together.
Semedo is generally very good, Racon is generally frustraiting. People have criticised Semedo’s recent performances however he’s been playing with what has widely been described as Charlton’s worst ever player alongside him. Can you imagine what that’s like ? Can you imagine the additional workload is like having to make up for that.
Jose is an excellent player for this level and we would really struggle to replace him if he left.
Likes of Doherty, Francis etc are on 2 year deals. We can't replace everyone at once.
Is 15 senior players out and 15 in the way to go? How many quality players would be willing to sign to fight for their place and not be first choice?
Isn't it better to aim to sign 5/6 quality players if we can, maybe a few squad players and keep some current players as back up? Benson (he scores goals, I know the rest of his game isn't great), Doherty etc aren't so poor they can't be squad players, especially not if they have more quality around them.

Looks like Jackson for example is on his way to Brighton and he would be on most lists. I can see Jenkinson going too.

So only 14 or so new players then!
I think we need more or less a full first XI though. The squad is so poor.
From first team players this year. I think we need 6-8 first choice regulars!

Maybe: Racon, Llera, Solly
Can't really say for the youth players coming through but I thought Tuna looked tasty....
Jenkinson, Solly, BWP, Jackson and anyone on the books under 20 years old including Tuna (give the boy a chance!).
Fond farewell with some tears and general back-slapping all round:
Dailly, Doc, El Donko, Waggy, Semedo, Elliot, Reid, Forch.
Pay to leave now:
McOxo, Racon, Francis, Benson all cripples, loans and general hangers on.
Goodbye and good luck:
All the the rest
Shoot them if they dont take the money:
