[cite]Posted By: cafcdan18[/cite]Target man so what we need with Anyinsah's injuries, Bensons suspension etc
Good signing imho, was at Chelsea and they offered him a deal to stay before he went to West Ham so good pedigree. Also had an excellent game for West Ham at Villa last season- was on tv and he stood out as being a real talent.
However, did not pull up many trees in his other loans.
He's a bit more than a target man to be fair to him. Decent player who has done well at England youth level. I think he'll score a decent amount of goals.
Two good signings today. Hoping for one more - a centre half hopefully!
[cite]Posted By: charlton_carl[/cite]Abbott wanted out as soon as he found out about the interest
So what? He signed a contract with us in the summer - if we needed him he should have been told to stay put until we'd replaced him, then he could have moved.
So what? Player power talks thats what. An unhapy abbott is worse than a normal abbott. Sure if powell had known about the situation he would of held onto sodje. It might also of been an issue of budgets, firm interest so get rid. I guess powell didnt think it would take so long to get a striker in
Mr Powell has absolutely no idea. He could well become the worst ever manager in CAFC history, yes, even more of a disaster than Les Reed and / or Ian Dowie.
Why bring in untried loanees with little or no first team experience at any level? He's supposed to be running a professional league outfit, not a kindergarten. Why bring in Ecclestone and leave out Wagstaff and / or Reid?, why let Abbot go just as he was at last showing some semblance of form? Nouble and Parrett might well be promising young players but what we need is experienced and committed pros, not lickle babies .. thank you very much.
Stick Llera up front with Wright - Phillips (if fit!!) and play a midfield of Semedo, Wagstaff, Reid and Jackson (if fit) .. let's go down or not go up with a bit of fight and attacking spirit
sorry if any1 gets excited about him but I have a mate who is a season ticket at west ham and i go on the odd weekend he has a spare and Nouble is rubbish, I cant believe we have signed him DO NOT get your hopes up about him couldnt hit a barn door, is completly lightweight and is lacking confidence, cannot see this one working at all, things just go from bad to worse
Stick fortune up front with bwp,he used to play up front before he was converted to centre back.Bags of experience and although now slow would be ahandful in the air for any defence.good finisher too........just trying to think outside the box with the poor squad we have at our disposal.
