I'm expecting him to start with Jose. Hopefully Parrett will do a Parkeresque job for us and help us boss midfield more. I'm not expecting too much am I? ;0)

Thats exactly the role I've seen him play. He does tend to dominate games but in the Football League, who knows. With a bit of experience maybe.
I can't help but feel that if we could get in the likes of Paul Hayes too, that would be a lift for everyone and I'm hoping that the lack of comments from Powell about Parrett suggests that something else may be in the pipeline. Fingers well and truly crossed!
stick him straight in the middle with Semedo - if he's got ability and like playing in the centre play him there - nothing worse than running up and down left and right midfield without the ball on the end of other peoples play who aren't fit to lace your boots. Get him in there and let him start dictating i say.

So you've finally seen what everyone has realised all season - that we need a new midfielder!
Only joking Dan, calm down :- )
I agree with you, we've got him so stick him in the side straight away.

LOL, like me, I never take things the wrong way either ; - )
Not while he's injured but if we have a "Scott Parker" then yes, maybe you could play Jackson alongside him. He can pass the ball and scores goals from open play not just pens. Not sure he has the legs to play box to box but he does a lot of good defensive work out wide and has played at the back.
Even more so if we played 4 - 1 - 4 -1 as we did at MK Dons.

You think amother signing may be close then Mart??
Chris Powell has called for new loan signing Dean Parrett to 'stamp his mark' on the Charlton squad.
"He's a player I've been aware of for a few weeks, and I've watched him myself," Powell told the official website. "He's a young player, who's been out to Plymouth Argyle already on loan this season.
"He's a good passer, he's a positive player in that he likes to carry the ball, and he likes to thread people in. He's adding to the squad because we're missing a number of players and we're looking thin.
"Dean's had the experience of going out on loan, so he'll come into the squad and I want him to stamp his mark on it and make an impact. I hope to add more soon."

"I hope to add more soon"...interesting comment...would be great if this lad worked out and allowed us to play Jackson next to him and drop Semedo to RB inplace of the hapless Francis. Then bring in a target man, get some form out of Reid & who knows.
memo to mr chris powell : start him start him start him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! closes people down very quickly, wants the ball all the time, can tackle , takes free kicks and pens, just what we have needed all season!!!
[cite]Posted By: grumpyaddick[/cite]Would prefer a heavy-weight experienced old bruiser to another young twinkle-toes in midfield but at least it spells the end of Mc Oxo.
Comments
That would give him plenty of freedom to go box to box.
Solly behind waggy on one side and Jenks or Bessone behind reid or Racon on the other.
Still need another CH and another Stiker is no Big Joe or P Hayes as BWP and Eccles are both good but too similar.

Hopefully I will be proved wrong and he'll play alongside Semedo
What if Powell played Solly and Waggy on one side and jenks behind Bessone on the other?
What is there to lose?
Our team is seem to leave theirs in the changing room.

agreed.
That bit sounds promising!!
Is he the answer? possibly, can't be worse than McOxo
