i see it as a way of supporting my club almost as if i were giving money to a charity.
That's exactly it for me.
Money is a bit tight at the moment, but this to me is my annual charitable contribution to ensure the club continues running.
I don't do it to save money, i partly do it to save the hassle of queuing for tickets, but i wholly do it to give the club something to function from. A kind of guilty pleasure i suppose.
That's a good way of looking at it.
A season ticket (s) does at least support the club and help it continue even if you don't use it.
The problem is reconciling that with the multitude of other financial demands particularly if regular attendance is unlikely.
Anyway they still haven't sent me a renewal pack so academic at the moment.

Got my form all filled out, will post it off soon-ish, will be me and my other other mate who I go with third season in a row since we started going from last season. We're both sure it'll work out in the end.
I can see the guilt side AFKA, but where is the pleasure?
Yes done mine, but as said before I've waited over 10 years to get the seat I want. It's an investment. Bought 2 again. Ironic thing is I don't sit there, I sit with a mate in C block who's kid doesn't come anymore.
[cite]Posted By: JT[/cite]How many times have you been to Old Trafford?
Twice. I've been to the Emirates more than I have OT, sadly :( .
[cite]Posted By: Friend Or Defoe[/cite]and why does he go to Charlton?
To sit in the J-block and make the H-block look like fools!
got my form, wont be renewing but that is mostly to do with the fact i work a lot of Saturdays so just not worth it. I will just buy on the day on games i can get off
I am one of a very rare few - not hd a season ticket for 3 years now, but think i am going to buy one next season. I have high hopes and given that I have gone to as many (if not more) games since giving up the ticket I may as well take the plunge and get one!
just about to renew my season ticket and this year i will be doing so via zebra finance.
however, i just need a little guidance as i have filled out the forms supplied to me and have ticked the zebra finance block in the payment details section and have also filled in the zebra installment plan application. im just a little curious as i have not supplied any of my bank details, so will i be expecting more forms from zebra soon or am i missing something else.
2 more season tickets renewed. Looking forward to next years season, who no what agony we will be put through, but the banter from those around us is worth it.
Sent in the post, just couldn't face not having 50% of my Saturdays filled with stress and tension! I'm already bald so I suppose my teeth will fall out next.
Haven't had one for a couple of years but i still have only missed one home game.
I don't bother because the kids like to sit at different parts of the ground. One week it's upper North , The next it's lower north and the other it's the front of the East. So i wont be buying one but I'll still be coming.
Was thinking that if I don't buy one - next season, the club wil get more money from me if they do well and less if they have a repeat of this season. Almost certainly will buy one out of loyalty and because I always do (creature of habit) but am feeling as down as can be at the moment about Charlton. Is it too much to ask to have one decent performance at the Valley this season? Is it too much to ask to want to see some evidence- no matter how flimsy- that I can expect a little more from this let down of a team.
Even though I don't go to every home game these days, I will renew. As some have said, it's almost akin to a charitable contribution. Even if I moved abroad (unlikely), I would always renew.
