So someone has reported that there have been racists comments although they didn't hear any racist comments but were told by someone off the internet, who also didn't hear any racists comments that there had been racist comments. That person had read a comment from an un-named third party, on a largely un-policed internet medium, who claims that they heard racists comment from an as-yet unknown fourth party.
I DEMAND THAT ACTION IS TAKEN

Lol. That's the beauty of twitter for you! Rumour , wrapped up in folds of gossip smothered with dollops of bullshit - all of which cant be substantiated let alone traced!
Feel free to keep your head in the sand. Two people at the game heard comments. 1 person from here heard comments. I dont class that as unsubstantiated, gossip or a rumour. That's 3 people out of about 300
I'd rather we were still regarded as one of the instigators of "Lets kick racism out of football" and play in league 2 than attend a match with these neanderthals
I'd rather base my opinions on some kind of actual facts rather than unfiltered internet sh1te. If that means that I'm "keeping my head in the sand" then fair enough, but I'd rather hear such a comment and deal with it face to face with the person rather than daisy chain something that might be a complete lie or might have been misheard. Considerably more than two people swear blind that they've seen ghosts or had things pushed up their bum bums by alens. Millions swear blind that a bloke built a boat big enough to house all of the animals on the planet (somehow covering cold weather creatures like polar bears and desert dwellers like iguanas) when the world was punished by a giant flood (though we're not clear how that punished the fish, or whether they were somehow less at fault than say, pandas). Anyway, my point here is that people "witness" all manner of odd things. I'm not saying it's not true, but I would be careful in passing on such accounts without really knowing if they're correct or not.
Just a complete aside: I recall (in less enlightened times) about 15 years ago in a game against Wolves a frustrated fan yelled out abuse at their not retreating 10 yards for a free kick. You "black country b'stards!", yelled the fella. He was rounded on by an angry fan who was incensed to hear such racism and confronted the bloke. Given there were no black players involved in the incident I'd give the bloke the benefit of the doubt on that one.

I think we are the type of fans who would confront this sort of thing, which makes me doubt it did happen.

I think Chinese Whispers are now called Whispers : - ) PC gone mad if you ask me.
More seriously while I agree that we should wait til we have more concrete evidence I heard racial remarks at Swindon last year as did other people on here.
The Lisbie song was also sung by a few at Peterboro. It was drowned out by others singing something else.
We should be rightly proud of our Anti-racist stance and leadership but the price of that is eternal vigilance. If you hear it confront it or report it.

Unfortunately a racist element does definately exist at the Valley and I posted about this last season, it makes me sick and I don't want those kinds of people following my club.
They were at Swindon away last year singing the same shit, some of us met the same idiots at scunny away the season before that, if you think that we don't have a minority of ignorant fools that follow our club your wrong.

I suspect you are preaching to the converted.
(And those who aren't converted wont hear)
