Given our injuries and the poor form of our midfielders I can see the rationale of the selection and formation.
Pace there from Waggy and Reid (if Reid decides to turn up) and Benson can stick it in the onion bag if he gets early crosses. I suspect BWP's knee is playing up which could be why he was subbed on Saturday. Eccleston is there to run at tiring defenders later in the game.
The way I see it is CP has tried to shore up midfiled, play one upfront and as we get towards the 65/70 minute mark if we are still in the game bring on BWP and NE and use he extra pace against a tiring defence.....it may work....(i hope!!)
[cite]Posted By: nolly[/cite]what a strange team to put out
what's the strange bit ? no BWP ?
We signed a player a month ago who failed a medical and has an on-going problem that is manageable. I'm reading it that he's not fit enough to continually play twice a week.
Personally wouldve stuck with 4-4-2.
If BWP isnt right then Ecclestone for him would have been my only change.
Seriously worried by that team - which hopefully means sod's law will apply and they will surprise us.
Talk about a must-win. Lose this and we could easily be tenth by 10pm behind Orient and Hartlepool and ten points off the final play-off spot.
Earlier in the season we could have come back from that. With only eight weeks left, such an outcome would effectively end our season, I fear.
But it's not going to happen. COYR - I'm going to be watching Barca v Arsenal, but with lap-top on my knee and regularly checking in for here good news!
Still waiting for addicks commentary stream to start on CAFC player, so may switch to MK if it gets too late towards ko....that one is already broadcasting
Got a funny feeling Mad Miguel will notch his 2nd goal in as many games and against his old Club too, 10/1 to score at anytime with Paddy Power and Bet365 just wish it included own goals aswell. :)
HELLO - Calling all Charlton fans, that didn't know BWP failed his Reading medical because he has a problem with his knee, that causes it to swell up after every game, which is why he puts an ice pack on it straight away.
Possibly may be why he's not starting 2 games in 4 days ?
MK dons commentary link doesnt seem hat stable...keeps cutting out for a second or two....right will dobest with updates...ingonr spelling mistakes please...cheers

I'd put my money on their number 27 scoring!
I hope you don't mean the wheels are totally going to fall off the bike tonight!
