However that pushed me over the edge tonight, I just cant believe my beloved Charlton are being represented by such poor bunch of players I could cry I really could. CHARLTON TILL I DIE

I played a lot of football in my time and I would say that possibly one or two games in a season if I didn't have the confidence I could easily go missing in games. In other words I would not put myself in positions where a player would pass to me where I might fuck it up. Professional football players should not be doing this but it seems that our lot are all at it. I fear playing all the bottom clubs at the moment because they have nothing to lose and must have more spirit than us.

Fair play and i take back my response. Please dont blaspheme like that again though! ;-)
Saw that result mile off and thankfully abandoned plans to go tonight. The squad we have is poor and is full of league 1 players but should be good enough for play offs- Powell will either be destroyed by this or it'll make him stronger -he has to turn things round this season though as I'm not sure the board will tolerate too much more of this. The team is better than it is showing but poor tactics against poor sides at home has killed our confidence levels - the word is beleagured.
Somebody said in a different post that Powell was introduced for the long haul - I'm not so sure about that - I think he was brought in to invigorate us in the short term and this was successful -we won our first 4 when we know we wouldn't have done so well without the change- but Parky knew what the team were capable of and I think we all suspect we would have more points if he had stayed.
Powell had a major coup in bringing BWP but when we needed that bit of quality the introductions dried up - he is fishing around for something and you get a sense he doesn't really know were to go. I think and hope it will make him stronger -he is certainly learning the deficiencies in the squad and I suspect there will be big changes for next season, but we do have some decent players for this level and its up to them to earn their right to stay with the side -
