I never usually bother with this but last night I could not wait to get on here and do this;
Elliott 5 (not a great couple of games for the local boy)
Francis 6 (shows more effort and energy than most of the team put together)
Dailly 6
Doherty 6 (his injury saved us from his usual mistakes)
Jenkinson 6 (out of position but still looks like he will be a star)
Reid 5 (where has the other Reid gone?)
Semedo 6 (worked hard but could do little)
Racon 3 (his touch and passing were terrible last night, how many times did he play a team mate into trouble. A shock considering his recent form)
Wagstaff 5 (Effort but no impact)
Eccleston 6 (set up the goal but although he got a fair bit of the ball created little)
Wright Phillips 6 (scored, had one blocked and headed over)
Fortune 4 (Made Doc look quick when he came on, I just feel sad for the guy)
n/a Benson
[cite]Posted By: lancashire lad[/cite]For those of you at the match last night marks between 0-10. halves allowed, please cut and paste the list below:
Elliot - 5 (Felt sorry for him to be fair, there is an obvious ask of him to deliver out through the back four or through the wide players, but time and time again people had there backs to him and never showed for the ball, but the last goal is basic )
Francis - 6 (Distribution at times leaves a lot to be desired but fair play the guy never hides and is useful going forward)
Jenkinson 6.5 (Not a left back, keeps having to check in on his right foot which caused him problems, but full of effort, eye for a pass and isnt afraid to have a go)
Daily 5 (Looked shaky all night, right out of sorts! At times when things are going pair shaped and everyone starts firing passes all over the shop, i really question how strong his leadership qualities to calm things down and keep the shape)
Doherty 6 (I think he looked fairly solid, anything in the air, or ball played up to him he's as solid as they get, play the ball behind him or give him too much time and he's struggling)
Eccelstone 6(In and out for me, gilmpses of ability, needs to release the ball quicker)
Reid - 4 (Frustrating ......... he carries the ball to long, he's look's a shadow of last season in terms of confidence, summed up by his break away which he took about 10 touches and near enough ran the ball of the pitch, similar to the same break at Southend last year of which he finished)
Elliott 3; he needs to be rested, at fault in all three goals last night. Also lack of understanding with back 4. Francis 3, out of posistion to often, and could no pass to a charlton player, he must be colour blind. Dailly 4 seemed hesitant Doherty 4 seemed uncertain what to do with the ball whenhe had it at feet. Jenkinson 5 ok that is about it Reid 4 went into to many blind alleys Semedo 5 had ok game Racon 6 At leats he can pass the ball, also tackled more than usual Wagstaff 4 same as Reid Eccleston 5 tried to do to much onhis own but did get the cross in for our goal Wright Phillips 5 because he scored
Fortune 3 just not fit enough to play football n/a Benson
Elliott-4
Francis-5
Dailly-5
Docherty-4
Jenkinson-7 played out of position and looks like he is gonna be a key player for us in the future.
Reid-5.5
Semedo -4 used to like him but he seems to be labouring about doesnt give any impetus to the team anymore
Racon-4 gone back to his f---king about with the ball again
Wagstaff-5
Eccleston-5
Wright Phillips-6
Fortune-4 could be time for him to hang up his boots which would be a shame he just doesnt look up for it anymore.
Elliott 4 - very very shaky at the moment.
Francis 6.5
Dailly 6
Doherty 6.5 - He actually looked better tonight until he went off injured.
Jenkinson 8 - best player on the pitch by a mile. Would love to see him played in his proper position and also be allowed to take free kicks and corners....or even penalties if BWP ever steps near one again!
Reid 5.5 - whats gone wrong?
Semedo - 7 - the usual
Racon 6.5
Wagstaff 5.5 - needs to play right wing
Eccleston 5 - needs to play up front
Wright Phillips 6
[cite]Posted By: The Red Robin[/cite]Reid 5.5 - whats gone wrong?
he's been charltonised
[cite]Posted By: The Red Robin[/cite]Jenkinson 8 - best player on the pitch by a mile. Would love to see him played in his proper position and also be allowed to take free kicks and corners....or even penalties if BWP ever steps near one again!.
jenkinson said he offered to take a penalty in the brentford shoot out , fairplay to the lad
Elliott 5 Looked off colour Francis 6 Always available and got more crosses over than anyone else Dailly 6 Solid as usual Doherty 6 As above Jenkinson 6 Looks settled now Reid 4 Woeful Semedo 5 Got outnumbered in the middle Racon 6 Occasional flashes but got crowded out Wagstaff 6 Good first half Eccleston 5 Can't last 90 mins, looked jiggered Wright Phillips 6 well taken goal does what it says on the tin
Elliott - 5.5 - nice to see he was at least looking to distribute well even if some players didnt want it - at fault for the final goal Francis - 6 - actaully thought he had a decent game tonight and has improved from his early season tosh Dailly - 6.5 Doherty 5 - slow, poor distribution would be being kind Jenkinson - 6.5 MOM - good all round player with the best vision in the club by a mile and a great attitude. I hope we get to see more of him than we did Jonjo! Reid - 6 - tried hard and should certainly be given another game Semedo - 5.5 - we will never play decent football with him as our pivot - he is good defensively but hides when we have the ball Racon - 5 - yet again poor - Wagstaff - 6 - our biggest threat and dint seem the ref was giving him any protection - shame we couldnt make any use of the free kicks he earnt let alone the ones we weren't given Eccleston - 4.5 - a few good flashes of skill but frequently made the wrong choice and has poor vision. Will certainly never make it at Liverpool Wright Phillips - 5.5 - mark boosted by the goal but rarely made himself available
Fortune - 4.5 - sorry Jon but time for the pasture Benson - tried hard but wasn't on long enough to make an impact
Elliott 4 - Terrible, no presence, looks nervous - at fault in all three goals last night. Cannot catch the ball and hold it! Francis 3 - Awful - 1 cross in 10 good the rest overhit or to opponent - just dump. Dailly 6 - Still solid. Few minor mistakes. Doesn't seem to have much influence as captain... Doherty 5 - OK. Still quite a few errors - but better. Jenkinson 6 - Shows great promise and just needs more game time. Reid 5 - Exciting - doesn't knowweh nto pass and when to shoot! Semedo 5 - Ok game. Still thinks he's one of our best. Racon 6 - Passes well and really works hard - bit frustrating sometimes Wagstaff 5- Plenty of endeavour - no end result... Eccleston 5 - Touch of class - needs more game time Wright Phillips 6 - Scored and seemed to be more involved last night
Elliott 5 - very poor kicking and throws, he seems completely unsure as to what to do when he has to move the ball upfield
Francis 5 - nowhere near as strong as he has been recently (pre-injury), we missed his incisive crosses
Dailly 6 - he still wants to win but, understandably, not as quick as used to be
Doherty 5 - very disappointing, again
Jenkinson 7.5 - a real live-wire, he is going places ... and I hope it's with us
Reid 5.5 - should start again as he tried hard but too many errors
Semedo 5 - far from his usual standard
Racon 5 - something not right here, he does not seem to want to be there anymore
Wagstaff 6 - please stand up and stop staying on the floor when you are knocked over, toughen up ... but keep the enthusiasm
Eccleston 5 - hardly got in the game, not being played in the right position
Wright Phillips 6.5 - if all he does is score, then fine ... however he needs to be stronger
Fortune 3 - I have never scored a player thislow ... but to be honest even zero would not have been wrong ... he did nothing and put us in danger
For those criticising Wagstaff for falling over, it should be noted that we won most of our freekicks in dangerous areas this way. The fouls were committed mostly due to his speed and trickery. The disappointment was the shocking inability to create a goal scoring opportunity from set pieces. Francis was always willing to recieve the ball and yes, some of his crosses were poor but he didn't give up until the 93rd minute and if you compare his efforts to that of Wagstaff and Reid (whose jobs it is to cross) he did OK.
Elliott 4 (Time for Worner)
Francis 5 (Better going forward, try him in midfield maybe, Solly behind)
Dailly 4 (Getting worse every week, not Captaining whatsoever)
Doherty 5.5 (Makes the odd mistake, but nowhere near as many as Dailly right now)
Jenkinson 6.5 (promising, never gives up)
Reid 4 (lost it big time: all fur coat - no knickers.
Semedo 5 (Tackles, harrasses, but what else?)
Racon 4 (Non!)
Wagstaff 5 (Missing again)
Eccleston 5
Wright Phillips 6 (Does his job; Gets the goals, can't really argue with that)
Fortune 3 (Unfit, lazy, dissinterested and totally a waste of a place on our bench. How the flip can Llera be as bad as that? No way! Get rid)
n/a Benson 4
Elliott 5 good distribution at times one excellent save at the Covered end but at fault for at least one of the goals Francis 5 usual mix of sublime and incompetent Dailly 6 unlucky with the deflection. Got to admire the commitment from a man of his age but not as assured as usual Doherty 6 ok until his injury Jenkinson 7 hope we can keep him. The one ray of light MOM Reid 5 What happened to the guy who tore Bournemouth to shreds in the first game of the season? Semedo 5 Carlisle won all the second balls after about 20 minutes which is partly down to him Racon 5 see Semedo Wagstaff 5.5 Ran around a lot trying to take up good positions and exert pressure but little impact no service Eccleston 5 Disappointing. Little impact but in fairness where was the service from midfield Wright Phillips 6 Gets that for a class finish. Did little else.

Francis - 3 Dreadful even by his standards.

Reid - 3 Anonymous until the last ten minutes.
Semedo- 4 Part of the non-existent midfield
Racon - 3 Traps the ball further than I can kick it*
Wagstaff - 5 Not much end product. Huge work rate and chases the ball everywhere - but then you could say the same for a spaniel.
Eccleston - 4 Doesn't look a happy bunny
Wright Phillips - 6 Mainly for the goal
Fortune - 2 A dreadful night. Did nothing right. I'm truly sorry for him he was such a good player but it's time to hang up the boots.
