  • Just checked over the last few seasons and 50 points is normally enough.

Last year the Gills got 50 points and were relegated on goal difference .
  • [cite]Posted By: Scoham[/cite]32 years later and Blackpool are in the Premier League. We can all wait that long, right?

Speak for yourself. Maybe if I stopped drinking, but then I'd probably go mad watching Charlton sober for the next 31 years in the lower leagues!

Not expecting a relegation scrap but three games ago I was still confident that we could still get a playoff place.
  • Every year someone gets sucked into the mire.

Firmly believe we will be casting nervous glances down come the end of April.

The way this team are performing another 12 without a win isnt in the realms of fantasy.
  • 100/1 - a score on that might help soften the blow........or you could use the 20 quid to buy a ticket and support the team instead....now if everyone was given £20 and told to do one of the two options with it, I wonder which would be more popular, lol
  • fiver is going on
  • We could never never be relegated because we stand for all that is right and proper in the worrrrld. Oh Yoshimi, they don't believe me...
  • Next season will be a relegation scrap with Powell in charge..

Then do us all a favour and go and watch Millwall.
  • ...better than watching this farce at the moment: harsh but true, it's meant to be enjoyable and entertaining, this which we spend our hard earned on right? which bit of this am I not understanding oh proper fan?
  • teams get relegated from this division in 21st between 47-50 points in recent years, we'll be massively unlucky to go down

If you want entertainment go to the circus.
  • With all the clowns around the valley at the mo, what's the difference
  • currently, we have all the hallmarks of a relegation side - i think we will have just enough to avoid it but if this was november, i'd be seriously worried.
  • Over the last 10 seasons in League 1 and Division 2 - the highest placed relegated side had
50,49,48,47,50,51,50,48,44 and 51 points - we still have a lot of work to do.

If you look at stats - playing teams that are currently in the top half of the table we are 5th in that table,
but playing teams that are at in the bottom half of the table we are 18th in that table.

This is not anything new - we just don't know how to play againt teams that lose to other teams that are
in the top half of the table, this is something that happended when Alan Curbishly was the manager.

Look at how many teams have been on a non-winning streak play against Charlton and that sequence
    comes to an end.

So we need 4 points then ? I reckon even if we play as bad for the rest of the season we'll get 4 points. I'm not panicing yet.
