  • Elliot 7 did what was asked of him and distribution much improved
Francis 7 good positioning, quick thinking for assist for 2nd goal. Set piece delivery below par though
Dailly 8 excellent against that diving thug
Doherty 7.5 assured and rarely troubled. As bad as he is against pace he is superb against big lumps
Fry 7.5 all action. Loves a tackle, committed and strong. Maybe lucky to only get yellow when last man
    Jackson 6 really quiet
Semedo 7.5 SOMEBODY CLONE THAT MAN
    Racon 7 tidy, always available.
McCormack 7 best game for us. Won headers and offered cover to Franny
Wagstaff 9 quite possibly the hardest working performance I have ever seen from an Addick. Absolutely remarkable energy. Goal out of nothing
Anyinsah 8 so so strong, won tons of headers and a general menace. Inspired signing if he stays fit

    n/a Reid 7 flashes
n/a Eccleston 8 superb cameo. Won the ball back for the 2nd and lovely finish
n/a Abbott 6.5 not much time

Elliot - 7: Didn't have much to do but what he did do he done it very well. Better distribution today.
Francis - 7.5: I thought he was very good today, defensively assured just could do with a better delivery more often. Well done today Franny.
Dailly - 7.5: Our great captain, was solid throughout and competed well in the air today. I love his bursting runs through the middle.
Doherty - 7: Done well again today, solid like Dailly and was intelligent with his decisions. His pace let him down that half mark.
Fry - 7: After a shaking start he grew into the game and done alright, wasn't one of his best by no means. He shows a lot of care and passion for us though, I like Fry.
Jackson - 6.5: Unfortunately he got injured and I hope it isn't too bad. Wasn't in the game too much but is a quality player. 'There's only one Johnnie Jackson'
Semedo - 9: Covered defensively well and got forward really well when Racon departed, Very good performance today. What would we do with him?
Racon - 7: With Semedo next to him and not to mention McCormack out wide it really helped him be a big part of running the midfield today, technically gifted.
McCormack - 7: Linked well with Francis today, for a central midfielder he done very well out wide.
Wagstaff - 9.5: Scored the first in Powell's era. Worked tirelessly today, and was excellent. His celebration with the other players shows the passion and togetherness they have. Man Of The Match.
Anyinsah - 8: He led the line very well and was always chasing lost causes, held it up well and had a good few shots too. Vital player for us this season. Well done Joe.

Reid - 7.5: His pace cause numerous problems for their defence. He looked more confident in going passed players and whipping crosses in, more to come from Reidy.
Eccleston - 8: Scored on his home debut and took it well. His got pace and I think he'll be an important player in our promotion push. Good signing.
Abbott - 6.5: Didn't have much time but came on to do a job and hold the ball up, keep possession and run the clock down.

Supporters - 9: We enjoyed a fantastic day and sang most of the time, I loved today and think it's one of the best at The Valley. COYR.

Powell - 10: I am so glad the legend is back, very touching moment coming out and going back in from the tunnel, made the right changes at the right time. BRILLIANT

Elliot- 7 nothing to do really, but good distribution and handling.
Francis- 6.5 getting better and dealt well with the big fella on the left, but his crossing was shocking.
Dailly-7 solid and assured. back to his best.
Doherty- 7 so slow it is painful but a match physically for most in our league and was excellent in the air.
Fry- 6.5 passionate and hard working. got better as game wore on.
Jackson- 6.5 quiet but we can't expect goals every week. hope his injury is not serious.
    Semedo- 8 excellent again.
Racon- 7.5 has been a lot more consistent since October time. played well and got up and down the pitch to good effect.
McCormack- 7 oxo man out of position but did not show, worked hard and is another option out on the right.
Wagstaff- 8.5 superb again, works so hard for the team and has shown he can do a job up top. deserved his goal which was a good strikers goal. MOM.
Anyinsah- 8 another good performance from Joe, has been a real find and hope he stays fit. Perhaps unlucky not to score.

n/a Reid- 7 looked better than he previosuly has off the bench.
n/a Eccleston- 7.5 good work rate, fast and excellent goal. Could be an inspired signing.
    n/a Abbott- 6 no time.

    Francis 4

Were you even at the game?

My mistake - he's the target of the boo boys this year isn't he. So even when he plays well (as indicated by EVERY other response) he still gets the crap score..

    Well done!
  • Haha Francis 4 is hilarious... granted he can't take a set piece for toffee but Jackson and McCormack (and later Reid) all had goes and they were all poor as well!

  • Elliot 7 Clean sheet ,can't ask for more from a Goalie
Francis 6 Is improving in my opinion Macca gave him more protection
    Dailly 7 Sound
    Doherty 8 Aerally dominant
Fry 6.5 Commited , like to see him at cb at some stage
Jackson 7 Has said on Twitter he should be ok for next week
    Semedo 6 Looked sound
    Racon 7 Played well
McCormack 8 Looks good out wide and offers better protection defensively , not sure if it is a long term solution
Wagstaff 9 MOTM . Extra mark for the goal superb opportunism
Anyinsah 7 Good shift as a lone striker ,like to see him with Ecclestone in a 4 4 2

    n/a Reid Looked lively
n/a Eccleston Quality goal this could be the jigsaw piece we have been missing
n/a Abbott Looked up for it

I have been a critic of Francis on this site before and awarded him some low marks but today i thought he did well. Defensively very sound and got up the line well. If CP can teach him how to cross he could be a decent player. His crossing was pretty ineffectual today but ultimately i will judge a RB on his defensive duties (anything else is a bonus)...hence he would get a solid 7 from me. Well done fella, keep it up.

  • Done these without looking at other rating as usual.

Thought the team and the fans were really flat in the first half which is amazing considering the occasion.
We lacked width and a second striker. Defensively we looked sound though.
Second half was much better - Well done Chris Powell.

    Elliot -6 quite game
Francis 6 Did ok but i hate it when he lust lumps the set pieces into the box,
Dailly-7 Backed to something like his best.
Doherty - 6 Solid enough , no slip ups unlike recent games.
Fry - 8 - Did really well. Impressed. MAN OF THE MATCH
    Jackson - 6 - Quite - Injured
    Semedo - 7.5 - Battling Performance
Racon - 5 - Badly out of form
McCormack 6 - Not his fault he's put out of position.
Wagstaff 7 - Looked sharper than in recent games.
    Anyinsah - 5.5 Disappointing
  • Elliot 7 good distribution to Macca - tactic worked well
Francis 6 lousy corners but a great backheel to set up a chance
Dailly 7 extra point for surging runs
Doherty 6 might have been sent off in an away fixture for taking out their striker
    Fry 6.5 I like Fry
Jackson 6.5 Hope he is ok
    Semedo 7
Racon 6.5 Interesting that Powell took him off
    McCormack 7.5 Best game yet
Wagstaff 8 The only player to make things happen
Anyinsah 7 worked hard missed a sitter

n/a Reid 6 minus half a point for those orange boots
    n/a Eccleston 7 Wow what a goal

  • Elliot 7 not a lot to do but decent distribution and better communication from what I could see
Francis 6 steady. Corners worse than normal otherwise 6.5 or 7
Dailly 7 solid and made some good runs forward in the first half
Doherty 7 As long as he doesn't have to run he is fine
Fry 7 decent game. Glad the ref was sensible re the handbags at the end.
Jackson 6.5 Like Francis set pieces worse than normal otherwise 7. Hope his injury is not serious
Semedo 7 Did his stuff apart from a little spell before Waggy's goal when Plymouth came into it
Racon 7 decent apart from a little spell where he disappeared prior to Waggy's goal
McCormack 7 best I've seen from him since he joined
Wagstaff 8 covered every blade of grass and his goal epitomised his hard work and persistence
Anyinsah 7.5 strong, held it up and worked hard. One day he'll manage 90 minutes but a good 75 or so today.

n/a Reid 6.5 couple of good runs. Hate the boots!
n/a Eccleston 7 Took his goal well. Encouraging cameo
n/a Abbott 6 no time to make an impact good or bad really

    Dailly 8 commanding
    Doherty 7.5 assure
Fry 7 Part of defence that kept Plymouth quiet
    Jackson 6 quiet game
    Semedo 7.5 Very involved
Racon 6.5 Felt he had the class on the ball to break the deadlock in first half but it didn't happen. Sometimes tries too much.
McCormack 7 Wanted to be critical but he played well
Wagstaff 9 He was everywhere - terrific
Anyinsah 8 The ball sticks to him and he can't be tackled
