Dagenham & Redbridge Away - Tickets Now On Sale

I am coming over to London for business in March and am there for two games, D&R away and Saints at home.

Now, Saints at home in midweek is nailed on, no worries there.

However, I am also very keen to see if there is a chance of getting to D&R for the away game.

I suspect, given their small capacity, that the match will be all-ticket and that our allocation will rightfully go to ST holders rather than blow-ins like myself.

What do we think away travellers? Do I have a chance of getting a couple of tickets for this one?

Their home gates look well below the stadium capacity of 6,000, so I might have a chance but I would prefer getting an away ticket if possible.

  • i think the away end holds 1200, but they can increase the allocation to something like 1500 by giving half of one of the side stands. I wouldnt be too confident mate, i reckon they'll put it on sale to VG/ST-holders, 5 year ST-holders, and people who have been to something like 6 away games this season. I remember brighton has a similar small allocation, and at that stage of the season it was on sale to the above and people who had done 4 aways.
  • It will require a ST and a few aways, try and get one in the home end.
  • New ground syndrome, small capacity and top end restrictions, would expect them to sell out in a couple of days to ST's and above with a good away purchase history.
  • I'd like to maybe think someone at the club could help you out here, given the circumstances and how often you get to see us play.
  • I think away end is a non-starter for reason's already mentioned above. There ground holds 6k altogether, they usually get between 2500 and 3, highest crowd this season was just over 4k against Orient - should think you'll get one on the home end no problem, and I suspect you'll have a fair few Charlton there to keep you company.
  • Been there, done that already this season
  • Medal is in the post Nath.

Nice one. Did you behave yourself? No repeats of the orient game?
  • Done it in the FA Cup
  • Thanks to everyone for your kind words of advice on this, they are very much appreciated.

I will definitely be going to the game, although I still don't know what end I will be in!

  • Looking forward to this one, a Charlton supporter mate of mine lives in Stratford and has been a few times to the stadium over the last 3 years- says the away fans are in the best bit and it is always a decent afternoon out.
  • District line is closed on the day of the game. You can get the c2c to barking though and get a bus, or get a bus from one of the stations on the liverpool street line (goodmayes/seven kings/chadwell heath i pressume).

Better off getting the c2c to upminster having a beer there and making your way from there or failing that go Liverpool St to Romford have a beer in one of the 300 bars there and get the bus, used to be a 174 but i will check.

yeah i know, i live in upminster mate. So i'll probably bus it on the rail replacement services with some mates of mine who are adopted daggers, basically they never see their premier league teams (chelsea/man u/spurs) so have ended going to dagenham since their recent success lol.
  • Bumping this as guess the tickets will be on sale this week as 4 weeks away and there will be the usual restrictions I guess.

    Anyone know the prices?
  • 20 notes according to footballgroundguide

well they have to pay for the new stand somehow!

Not a bad stand though, beats some of the dire away sections in this league.
  • I'm a Red Card holder (like most fans) and have been to 3 away games this season. Live on the Essex-East London borders so would love to go to this one!

What do reckon of my chances of getting a couple of tickets in the away end??

    very slim

You'll get tickets no problem, they always turn up even if you miss out initially

  • Turn up? Turn up where? You mean I should be able to get them on the day at the Daggers?
  • We'll get 1,200 tickets allocated.

I expect the first round will be VG, 5-year and S/T holders or Red card holders who have been to 4 or more away matches 1 per person or the number of tickets purchased normally under the qualifying games.

Some will inevitably end up in a second level sale.

So you either go to Notts C or MK to pretty much guarantee a ticket, or have a go at getting a stub off one of your mates. Or, you wait and see if they come down.

If that doesn't prove fruitful there will be posts on here and spares floating around just as there have been for all our recent in demand away games, e.g. Orient, Gillingham, Millwall, Swindon (p/o) last season and Spurs this.

For most it won't be a new ground entirely as we went there in the cup replay a decade ago.

No chance of buying on the day.
  • Great advice thanks Leaburn!
  • Away fans are treated to an indoor bar area?
    GOING.
  • Well YourTheLoveOfMyLife, the first two parts of my prophecy have come true... now your best course of action is to get a Notts County ticket, roar us on to victory tomorrow and then... hey presto... you're off to Dagenham guaranteed ;-)
  • Got our two - looking forward to this !
  • Got mine earlier.

Looking forward to this one, new ground, nearby and another significant game I hope.
