  • I remember Kuntz who used to play for Germany
I thought they all were!!!! LOL
  • Looks like he could be coming here - anyone happy with that?

I am. For no other reason than to sing his song again.

Would love it.  Sometimes it is good to go back.  Rather Euell than Bowyer in a million years
  • paulcafc now do you he is coming back?
  • This week's News Shopper had a fairly substantial interview with him, lots of comments along the lines of "my options are open", "I'd definitely be willing to discuss coming back", etc. Got the impression that he is absolutely desperate to come back, but we haven't actually done anything in terms of approaching him.

Jason needs a job! So he would be waxing lyrical about re-joining! I dont think he is in Powells plans, however I would welcome him back.
  • Could only be a positive.

Old head, vast experience, can still run.

Good character, influential in the dressing room and still do a job on the park.
  • Yeah I'd love love to see him back as well, but as you say, nothing at all to indicate that we are interested in bringing him back.
  • The indication could be that he is currently training with us, according to one of the coaches who mentioned it to a mate.

  • ...or you just read his comments to someone on twitter
  • Looks like he is at least training with us
  • jasoneuell Real jason_ euell Hey Tweeps just to say 'YES' I am training with with #CAFC. Powelly has let me train to get fit during pre-season.
  • get him in quality playyer

  • Remember him well, when first with us was one of our best players, then had an injury and a domestic tragedy. When he returned it seemed that he and Curbs had fallen out and he was never the same player.

Seems to have had a varied career since he left but on a pay as he plays basis he might be useful, anyway I always admired him and felt that Curbs did him down.

Amazing how opinions differ. I seem to recall Curbs bigging him up for an England spot, which I think was a bit ambitious, but then he went and got himself sent off for a stupid challenge and I think Curbs felt let down by it, rightly or wrongly.
  • Off it - yes you're right, remember that, but whatever the reason he was initially one our best players and then all of a sudden he was a liability.
  • No from me. Couldn't trap a bag of cement in the last couple of years with us although he was a decent player to begin with. Just think we've got to move forward now
  • A lot of people do forget how lamentable he was at the end of his time here, especially in the League Cup game vs Palace (though they all were that night).

Can't see him signing with us though.

  • That lad went through a hellish period in his personal life, who is to say how long it takes to fully get your head back in the right place to play consistant football, then he was gone,

Imo he couldve done a job for us if his head was right back then but it was not, he gave great service scored some important and memorable goals, remember when we signed him i was chuffed to bits and iwould be chuffed to bits if he came back

Sums it up perfectly for me
  • whenever i have watched Euell play, wherever he has been,  he's got stuck in and given 100%. If he returns here, that is fine with me
  • How old is he?

    35,36?

  • Powell will have a look at him in training and maybe he will get a pre season outing, similar to Fortune last season before he signed a deal.

Maybe a short term/pay as you play will be offered but going to trust Powell's judgement on this one.

    I'd agree with that.
  • if powell thinks he can do a job then ill give him my full support. i think it shows how great we are as a club to let our old players use our facilities to train, holland, forch and now euell, makes me proud :)
  • Charlie MacDonald also a few years back, when he was without a club
