So... Parkinson's gone and Peacock is in charge for the mean time. I just wanted to look back at Parky's dealings in the transfer windows.
Benson: A good buy. His goals have secured us 10 points this year and if we give him the right service (not just hoofing the ball up to him) he can easily score 15+ goals this season. GOOD SIGNING
Jackson: A good all round player. Can play midfield or defence. A good penalty taker. Scores goals. GOOD SIGNING
Worner: Young keeper from non-league. Developed a lot and from what I've seen, is a good keeper. GOOD SIGNING
Abbot: Lump upfront who will occasionally score you a goal. BAD SIGNING
McCormack: Hasn't done much other than get yellows and get into arguments. Only cares about his Oxo tower dinner nights. BAD SIGNING.
Reid: Excellent winger. Committed to the club. GOOD SIGNING
Francis: Route 1 all the time. Can't defend. Gives the ball away to easily. BAD SIGNING
Docherty: A good defender but old and slow. Good clearing headers. GOOD SIGNING.
Overall his signings were good but there were the odd few that were terrible and are still with us today.
WHAT WE NEED:
A forward that is good at holding up the ball to partner Benson.
Suggestion: Charlie Austin
A Centre Back to develop whilst Dailly and Doc play. then replace them next year.
Suggestion: ??????????????
A Right Back to replace Francis. Jenkinson isn't ready yet and we need a replacement
Suggestion: Fraser Richardson(though he won't come back to us)
What are your Thoughts?

He clearly needs a different style of play to what he got from Parkinson.
right back - when chris solly is fit he can slot in
striker - bradley wright phillips would compliment benson in a partnership but only if we stop hoofing the ball
Pick a different partner Paul
Also like Charlie McDonald...now a very consistent striker but at the moment we need a striker with pace for when Joe doesn't play. Someone to get in behind the oppo.
right back we will be okay without francis. personally, from what i saw at brentford, jenkinson is good enough for L1. he's tall, athletic and likes a tackle. looks a lot more comfortable on the ball than francis. solly to come back too. i think jenkinson has a real future at the club.
Although I think he will score if he is given proper service
he's a funny one reid. thought he started well on monday and put a couple of decent balls in the box. then he hardly see's the ball for 60 minutes and looks bored. a player that will probably improve greatly when the style of football does.
3+1+3+1+1=9
9 Points he has earned us this season. without them we would be in 19th, just above the relegation zone.
Other signings missed of the list
Dailly - most certainly good
Aniyansah (sp) - mixed, good while he's on, but that's not much
Fortune - mixed
Sodje - probably erring towards bad...
Benson's previous manager said that if you give him a service, he'll score 20 goals a season for you.
With Charlton, he's averaging around 1 goal in 2 matches (which IMO is pretty good, better than the industry standard of 1 in 3 for a decent striker) and with indifferent service, often just a hopeful high ball hoofed vaguely in his direction.
And none of his tally include penalties, unlike many good strikers.
Well, he's still on course for 20 goals a season. That's what we were asking for, isn't it?
