[cite aria-level=0 aria-posinset=0 aria-setsize=0]Posted By: cfgs[/cite]Poyet would have to be mad to leave Brighton and has Sousa really proven himself?
He's proven himself to not be a very good manager, yes
His last job was at Leicester. Sacked after 8 games / 1 win and branded clueless by the chairman.
For what it's worth .....on Wiki:
"Wise was named manager of Charlton Athletic some two hours after the new board announced the sacking of former boss Phil Parkinson."
Being manager of us is really a thankless job. Wise has already taken millwall to the moon. He might be tempted to take on a director of football type role with someone else in the managers chair to take the stick. Tisdale? The same applies to Curbs. Unless he is offered loads of money he will not take the job. Director of football, maybe. Hughton is the current hot target. He can choose between palarse, us Preston.... Trying to be impartial (pah!) would we be a better bet in Hughton's eyes than palace? I don't think so. palace have a better chance of staying up than of us gaining promotion.
The News Hopper made me smile:
"Former manager Iain Dowie may have been as low as 8-1 to make a sensational return to SE7 but 8,000,000-1 might be a more realistic price".
1 Gus Poyet (unlikely) 2 Mark Bowen (unlikely) 3 Dean Holdsworth 4 Damian Matthews 5 Steve Clarke 6 Eddie Howe 7 Paul Tisdale 8 Steve Tilson 9 Andy Scott 10 Christian Dailly (DM as no2)
After last night's showing, I'm warming to the idea of a Karim/PaddyP17 duo. Karim for a touch of Islamic discipline (sadly lacking at the club I hear) and PaddyP for the shoulder to cry on...after they've been stoned or hung or whatever. Failing that, George Graham.
A name not been mentioned and is from left field is Billy Davies.
I know he is at Forest and they are in with a good shout of promotion, however he has a terrible relationship with the board there and was linked with Preston who may well be in L1 come August.
It does sound crazy, but there have been stranger appointments and would be a very good choice imho.
All I know at present. I know more about who it isn't than who it is. I haven't been given a name but I have info on the process etc.
It isn't Curbishley, Hughton, Clarke, Allardyce, Southgate.
IT IS HERE YOU WILL READ THIS FIRST. The person I know is giving me some clues but he won;t tell me. The clues point to a manager of a club in The Championship doing reasonably well. The fear is twofold. One is compensation, and the other is that he turns it down which will make any other manager unhappy at not being first choice. The clues I have point to a manager of a Nottingham Club. Scottish by birth.

Like to see Howe or Tisdale also but think these guys (owners) are thinking big (in names at least).
Not speculation, I have the info.
