[cite]Posted By: Rothko[/cite]When we win it's because the opposition were rubbish, when we lose it's because we're rubbish and Parky should go, when we draw, it's still probably Parky's fault.
and your point is?
I think his point is that people our just waiting to get stright on Parkys back and can not see that given what he has had to work with we aint doing to bad. Weather you think Parky is the man to take this club forward or not what Parky has done with limited funds and a masive turnaround of players

thanks - i bet you Daily and Doherty are on bigger money than 95% of the centre halves in this division.

Maybe there myabe they aint i could not tell you. I do bet that no team in the league has had to go through a turnover of players like we have had to do and if you think back to everyones pre season predictions we are doing well in comparsion.
I understand now we may have some better resources that people may feel that we need a new change and now have a better option than Parky, but on the whole i thank Parky for the hard work he has put in to at least give us half a chance.
[cite]Posted By: supaclive[/cite]If Parky had never been employed as temporary manager and then given the full time job, we may still be in the Championship.
Nobody knows. However, nobody could have done much worse, given his resources and the squad we had last season
Oh I don't know, finishing 4th just outside of autos was a hell of a lot better than many on here, including myself, was expecting last year.

Although I don’t know anything about them, the new owners are clearly successful businessmen and all the successful businessmen that I know are usually ruthless and do not suffer are not fools lightly.
I am sure this morning the new owners have logged onto Charlton Life and other fans forums reading what the real fans “US” have to say about last night’s debacle.
If you are Parkinson and the backroom staff, the forum sites do not make good reading. The Parkinson out brigade is probably running at 95% of the posts. For a manager controlling one of the largest, best paid squads in the division to be humiliated at home for the second or third time this season is simply not acceptable. Among the many posts are many intelligent, well-written posts all highlighting Parkinson’s managerial failings. These are not “knee jerk reactions” to last night, but people saying why they feel the club will never go forward while Parkinson is manager.
Personally I feel that he has now lost the support of the fans, whether there is discontent within the dressing room I don’t know but decisions need to be made and made soon.
This excuse about the large turnover of players that he's had to deal with is just laughable. If he hadn't taken us down, we wouldn't have had to sell half our players. If he'd taken us up last season we wouldn't we have had to sell the other half of the team. He's made his own bed and now he's sleeping in it. Time to stop making excuses for Parky, if this rubbish football carries on much longer there will be no fans left at the Valley. I've never experienced such a horrible atmosphere at the Valley as I did yesterday. Even the loyalist lifelong Addicks that I know are giving up. I can no longer justify to my family, wasting god knows how many thousands of pounds each year coming over witness such complete and utter dross. I'm sorry I feel this way I really am.

Let me get this right. You are saying that US the 'real fans' are the only ones who'se opinions count? So that means that anybody who is not of the same opinion is,(1)not a real fan and ( 2) are not entititled to an opinion that differs from yours?
I suspect that the majority of charlton fans ,real or not ,do not inhabit these sites.
Your arrogance astounds me .
I am sure that the majority of the fanbase do not inhabite these sites, but these sites are a baromiter of the feelings of the supporters. These are similiar to the polls at election time, that is exactly how the pundits know that there has been a 10% swing to the Tories. Therefore if 95% of the posts are Parky out then clearly that is the feeling of the fans.
I didn't see to many fans chanting Parkinsons name at the end, in fact I didn't see many fans apart from Swindon fans left in the ground. Perhaps you are one of the 5% who feel Parkinson is doing a good job!
[cite]Posted By: queensland_addick[/cite]I've never experienced such a horrible atmosphere at the Valley as I did yesterday.
Even during the period we were winning yesterday, the ground had all the atmosphere of a reserve match.
All you could hear were odd individuals shouting out.
But the moment we went 2-1 down, the atmosphere was venomous against the team.
As we all saw, the 2nd half performance in particular was disjointed and everything fell apart once we had to chase the game. But there was no getting behind the team during the 90 minutes, was there?
Well Board room meeting or not, yesterdays performance was completely unacceptable. If I was a board member I would want to understand from the manager, why he thinks we have been under-performing and what needs to be done to rectify.
Yes we are well placed in the Division still and we do have injuries to key players. I am sure that Parky will say that he had to shuffle the pack last night as key players were absent or off form and it didn't work. He will say that his strongest team is capable of getting us promoted but that the squad has no depth.
As a board member you then have to weigh up whether you can
a) work with the current bloke
b) whether he shares your vision
c) whether he is part of the problem or part of the solution
c) whether a change at this stage will be positive or negative
I always think that new blood at the top with fresh ideas and contacts are more likely to conclude that a change is required
Parky has been the default managerial choice for the previous boards given they were short of cash. He has done a decent job under the circumstances. I think though that he has been somewhat of a caretaker. If the new board has a long term vision for the club which I am sure they do, they will have potentially written off this season. My guess is that they will look to bring in their own man, earlier rather than later in this process.
I am absolutely astounded and disappointed at how rapidly when we have a bad result and performance people jump on the Parky out bandwagon. When are they going to realise we have no right to roll these teams over? We're not Prem quality now! We have a decent Div 1 side and that's probably more than we could afford before the takeover.
I hope the new chairman gives Parky decent backing and some reasonable money to spend. I think a shrewd businessman would recognise that putting a team together at the 11th hour with next to no budget and challenging for promotion is an achievement.
Give him some money, the freedom to sign some players and then judge him. To get rid of him now in my opinion would be nothing short of madness!

The last two home games have been terrible.
So who.
Well If we cannot get Poyet, what about Peter Shirtliff, with either Steve Brown, or Chris Powell.
