  • eloquently stated mate I am with you!
  • He has to take some of the responsibility, he's the manager. Although I agree, the players need to stand up and be counted - too many sub par performances. 14 to be exact.
  • Cos that is wot most people is saying innit?
  • because the players have been made to play a style of football ( if you can call it that) that simply does not work with the players we have.
  • Errrr...
    1. His tactics. Players lump the ball from the back because they are told to.
    2. Formation. He has NEVER got this right at The Valley.
    3. Two years, no progress.
    4. Two years and still no style.
    5. He seems clueless at the side when decisions are required.
  • It's the players fault full stop. Again, how does booing and all that bollocks help?
  • I reckon Parky is nailed on as the next England manager me...
  • Because he's the manager? It isn't a dip in form. Isn't he the guy that puts the team together, decides on tactices and ultimately carries the can? Can't see him surviving this.
  • and none of the last 7 goals conceded were elliot's fault either

because he is a useless manager open your eyes the players are shite ,his buys have been shite ,and the thing he does on the training ground must be shite ,the new owners must seriously sit down and think what they need to do because if they want promotion i would be very worried giving him money to spend maybe a new manager with fresh ideas is wanted ASAP .

Hold up ffs! Didn't hear people complain about Parky's tactics and what not when we was on an 11 game unbeaten run?!!!
  • stick to the singing jjj
  • With all due respect anyone who thinks Parky does not have to shoulder the majority of the blame for that knows cock all about football.

I know my football thanks mate. I understand his at fault, of corse! But that bollocks performance in my eyes was more so the players fault! As I said in a post earlier, Nobody was moaning when we was on that 11 game unbeaten run!!! He was doing something right then... Or am I wrong?
  • Jazzy...

unfortunately today was Parkys fault, and almost entirely his fault...

the reason we went on an 11 game run was becasue Reid got injured and JJ slipped into left mid and offered stability, protective cover for Fry, and freed up Racon to play a more advanced role.. tonight he "goes for it" infront of the new owners with a 433 spearheaded by Benson , who cant even hold his own c*** let alone holf up play like the late great deon burton...

so hes playing the wrong players the wrong way, and then wondering why it doesnt work, he then "went for it" again by haveing 3 strikers and leaving the back exposed tremendously for us to be picked apart with ease...

this team, works only if jackson is playing left midfield and benson and Joe are up top and even then we still arent magic, we are functional and could be in the playoffs...

tonights display shows a team devoid of ideas... to lump it up to Benson, man, we might as well smash it out the stadium every time we get the ball, WASTE OF TIME.. he cannot and doesnt know how to play that way...

these decisions are Parkinsons, he has a great eye for bargain, is clearly a good bloke, but now we POTENTIALLY have some choice, potentially, have some movement and havnt got financail constraints throttleing the club, now is the time to try our hand... we need a new spine, we need to spend 3-4 mill and a new manager...

and my vote is megson, he is defo a bit dull, but kept bolton up , and has won promotion several times with clubs like West Brom, very similar size club to us...

we shall see but today, was a clear example that we are not going to get out of this leaguew with Parkinson or this team..

i have slated his tactics since the 2nd season the chumpionship

i have said i wanted him gone when we were 2nd last season ands this he is tacticall inept he has no idea of how to play other than to hoof a ball 60yds and chase after it with players who cant do that

    PARKY OUT OUT OUT OUT
  • Not Megson for me...sorry, not him.

Unfortunately the season's longer than 11 games. We had a similar good run last season but in the end we weren't good enough and there was more bad games and luck than good ones. Looking the same this year.

Yes the players have to shoulder lots of responsibility but It's the managers job to get the best out of the players he has as often as he can. In my opinion he can't do that.

The players he signed you mean? Those ones?

  • Lumping the ball up to benson for 90 minutes completely missing out the midfield is not down to the players mate. It's tactics. Simples

Fella even I can see that Parky doesn't inspire your team. There is no fire or passion, in him or in the players.

Whenever the cameras zoomed on Parkinson he was chewing his lip with a look of puzzlement and sheepishness like a little schoolboy who has pissed himself.

The players look awful, but worst of all that performance looked lazy from a few players. Once players are being lazy/unfocused that tells me that the players don't care much for the manager or have faith in the team.

Believe me, we've been in that position far more often than you lot over the past 15 years for me to tell!

I think you'll find plenty of people where still complaining.
  • You know what I guess just seeing the players play like that I really didn't realise how much Parky has got it wrong. I take it back, maybe it is time for Parky to go?! I just don't feel shouting all that abuse at Parky helps anybody.
  • Jazzy when we went on that unbeaten 11 games are you saying it was inspite of him or because of him

when we win its his team

when we lose its his his team

the whole shamboplic nature of the abject shite we have been served up at home bar sheff weds has been a mark on his shite style of football

I have to agree Parky needs to remotivate these players and FAST. I will give him 3 games before i call for change and those 3 must be wins. Obviously spurs doesnt count.
  • I know PP has his supporters on here but how on earth they cannot see that even in our current decent league position we have been playing shite football all this season and a good part of last. He has to go soon and thank god the same tired argument for keeping him by saying we can't afford to sack him is no longer valid. What new rubbish argument to keep the idiot will come to the fore I wonder.

Correct. I think I just didn't want to believe that, and the red mist over my eyes today was just thinking of the players and the players only, but fair is fair it now I am more calm, it is indeed Parky's fault.

They look like they don't care, they don't want it and they don't want to be there. And it has been like that for a long time. That game at the den last year was a bigger version of what we see most weeks - they were scared and didn't want it as much as the opposition. It's depressing to say.

I don't know whether it's a lack of confidence, lack of caring or what - but it's gone on long enough. They're professional footballers, who should have a bit of mental strength. if Parky can't instill that, then the problems start with him.
  • You know i'm a supporter of Parkinson and I am saying if things do not change FAST the shit will hit the fan and to save us from a 3rd season in this league he will have to go.

Please, please, please give me a sensible name to replace him!
