Haha but it would be very unfair if it didnt happen without any comment from the club earlier but very funny i wont be doing anything silly to my wrists

to be honest not expecting major changes when/if this takeover does happen. Its just big news for the club; ergo very excited.
I wouldn't be surprised if it is delayed due to weather, travel restrictions of involved parties, etc. I would expect that Varney would issue a statement stating its being delayed if that is the case. They didn't announce the arrival of Pardew as manager until late on Christmas Eve, so the fact nothing has been said yet is not really surprising, albeit not helping towards to the anticipation of news.
I'll happily moan at players or manager if they appear to not put effort in or are poo, but I don't think I have ever moaned about the club or the way it is run. However, the business day is over and no word from anyone - a simple statement saying yes, no, maybe would suffice.
Was it a wind up ? Did anyone actually hear the original statement ?
