The club have promised we'll know who our new masters are by Christmas Eve - not another rumour thread please.
Do you think we really will ? Has the snow slowed it all down ?
Personally I know the 24th was a deadline but had hoped it all might be sorted by now. Due diligence etc.....

I don't recall there being any "promises" about anything - having advised clients on this sort of thing many many times in the past I can say with certainty that this stuff isn't always an exact science.
The press release actually said, "it is anticipated that the completion of the acquisition will take place no later than December 24".
Note the use of the word "anticipated", as in, that is the plan.
If you look outside the window you'll see lots of white stuff all over the place that has kinda messed up quite a few peoples plans these past few days - particularly travel plans.
I'm not trying to put a downer on this, far from it, but I don't want anyone busting a blood vessel and banging on about "lies" if this doesn't actually go through within the timescale originally "anticipated".
Now, having typed all that out, you see if it doesn't go and happen tomorrow!
Was thinking the same but the Charlton live guys made a good point earlier, that Murray would not sell to an unreliable buyer.
Although he also stressed the ''complexity'' of the detail still to be thrashed out.
Personally, I will be disappointed if the timetable slips as the date given was very precise and any extension of this period of uncertainty will do nothing to allay any jitters in the dressing room over what is going on, as we face three big games in seven days against potential promotion rivals....
anyway Bhr is the official sleeps counter not off_it... and if Bhr says 5 sleeps left then theres 5 sleeps left till takeover. goodnight, im off to dream what it might feel like to have only 4 more sleeps till...?
I've got no idea mate. But people start using words like "deadlines" and I start getting nervous. Just saying that it wouldn't be unusual for a takeover - of any company - to take a bit longer than first planned. I don't want people to immediately fear the worst and start slashing their wrists if it isn't done and dusted by the 24th, that's all.
You are right, but christmas eve would be the perfect time for good news and not knowing then will be very disappointing after the build up and anticipation, drink will help though!
The voices in my head tell me we might hear something today or tomorrow
4 chocolates to go!
sorry!
please stop talking
