Yep good to be kept up to date on this, although disappointing for Brentford - everybody get down there on the night, we need to get back to winning ways, Wembley beckons!
[cite]Posted By: mparsons1[/cite]doubt it, plastics having there day out
Define plastic please?
I hope your not saying that a five year season ticket holder, who has paid at least two thousand pounds, or a Valley Gold season ticket holder, who pays at least £280 plus £120 in valley gold subs, or a normal season ticket holder are plastic fans. These fans are the lifeblood of any football club, and if the criteria entitles them to a Spurs ticket, then good luck to them.
well thats ok of you got the money which you obviously have, doesnt show that you are any more of a supporter and just stick to the home games, how come all of a sudden we get 4k+ away at tottenham then u telling me that aint fake support? forgot about how we sold out at barnet and luton in the last rounds where were the 4 thousand then?

Are you saying the 8k season ticket holders are plastic? just because we get 4k at Spurs does not mean they will be fakes- these tickets have not been on general sale, the majority will have been to all the home games and a fair few (maybe 25%) will have been to some League 1 away games.

Maybe you should save up all the money you spend on away games and use it to buy Valley Gold membership.

I choose to spend my money on season tickets which doesn't leave much for away games. You prefer to go off on p*** ups away. That's fine and your choice.
However my money (and that of other season ticket holders) benefits OUR club and that is why we got higher priority with the 5 year people quite rightly getting top priority.
[cite]Posted By: mparsons1[/cite]lets every1 stop going away then everyone get a dvd from the shop and a pencil instead yeah
I didn't say that.
Most of us have a finite amount of money to spend on football or hobbies generally.
I choose to spend mine on supporting the Club at home via season tickets. You choose the away route. Both equally valid forms of support.
However the Club, as a business, wants the certainty of income provided by season tickets and so will (or should) choose to reward those fans first by giving them priority for games in demand where supply is limited.
As it happens the Club (wrongly in my view) chose to give those who'd been to 4 away games of all types greater priority than its 1 year season ticket holders.
[cite]Posted By: CafcAndy[/cite]I've had a season ticket for 17 years now, go to every away game ect but no 5 year.
Should a 5 year ST holder get top priority still?
Either way, the sale of these tickets sums up our away support. I don't go for the ground and the surrounding, you go to watch Charlton, Spurs or Rochdale, all the same to me.
5 year season ticket holders have coughed up more than £2k of their hardearned to help Charlton at a time of great need. (I would have said greatest need but that was probably 1984).
They are heroes, deserve our heartfelt thanks and should definitely be top of the pile when tickets are dished out in my opinion.

Yes they should get the highest priority. They have made a financial commitment over and above other season ticket holders and the club can't do much to offer perks for this commitment so have to use opportunities like this.
If you think about it, by your rationale the club should only have taken 500 or 600 tickets and then sold them to people like you who go to every away game, that way none of these "plastics" would be around to spoil your day out.
Lets face it, if we had only sold 1500 you'd be on here slagging off our away support. Can't really win.
seems that the people are buying their way to priority, if i had a spare 2k id buy a 5 year season ticket but cant so go regularly away would not suprise me if these 5 year season ticket holders dont go away at all and nick tickets of the fans that go regularly no doubt they will get priority if we get in the play offs as well would like to see a point system will be fairer imo

Why wouldn't they sell you tickets?

strange, my son purchased a few yesterday for Brentford before the game.

The new owners may not even honour the agreement going forward.
Why shouldn't the 425 get 2 tickets each for Spurs.
These people have made a 5 year unbreakable committment to CAFC - more than most managers, players, and even Board members.
and, yes,...........I am biased.
