Isnt that slip road sorted out now though? Would like to think we could take a couple of thousand on new years day. Brighton has to be the worst away view....
Brighton a funny on because awful ground and for over 20 pound a ticket is a joke, when you cant see a thing however is top v second match. Ive bought 10 now for that game because only 15mins on the train
We took 1200 to southend in the last round. Brentford is nearer and terracing and always a good trip, and is one step nearer to Wembley. In the words of the Pretenders from the Living Daylights, where has everybody gone?

live on the box, from the way every away game attendance is disgusting, I take it you have done them all ?
I predict that ticket sales for Hartlepool, Brentford, Colchester & Brighton will soar after we beat The Hatters tonight.....just so people can add more away tickets purchased to their profile in readiness for Spurs.

I've been to Orient, Exeter, Brentford, Barnet, Southend and Pboro this season, and 16 out of 23 league games last season so not all no, but that's not the point.
The point is that clearly our supporters are by and large a bunch of armchair fans if they can’t be bothered to go 30minutes down to Brentford at 12 quid a ticket when we are two games away from Wembley and the it’s a fun trip with good pubs etc. Almost any other club of similar size to us would take way more, as well as plenty of much smaller clubs, and whilst it is not my place to criticise any individual for not going to a game as I’m sure every individual has their reasons (my brother is missing out as he booked a holiday before sky got their greasy mits on it), but I am bringing a mate of mine who is a villa fan and I consistently try to defend us as a big club below our level with a decent following, but I am going to pretty embaressed if we only have a few hundred there when I have advertised it to him as a derby with a decent atmos.
Got a ticket to Brighton and Colchester... can't go Brentford as I don't finish work until gone 8.30 on Tuesdays... Colchester is going to be bloody awkward with Liverpool St out of action, don't fancy driving though with New Year's hangover
Who gives a shit how many we take away. Congratulate the ones that go and leave it at that.
Why is it that Charlton supporters have to always find something to moan about?
I used to go home and away all the time, now I don't, so what?
Well spot on I'm 25 first went in 93 but don't see how that is relevant. Surely cross-section of support is the same for all clubs in terms of age ranges, family commitments etc. Either way our support is comparatively poor and that doesn't explain why 1200 went to Southend, and 500 went to mk when it was on the box, and 1800 went to brentford in the league, but none are going now on the back of a 10 game odd unbeaten run

I imagine you'll get the retort that you're mid twenties or under and have no family/mortgage commitments etc.
which I begrudgingly suppose is a fair point though everyone, of all ages and with all commitments does make sacrifices[/quote]
exactly mate I was 21 I missed 2 matches all season including anglo italian cup games which included a midweek 2-2 draw away at newcastle. It is a lot easier when you are not married and living at home without kids.
And as for moaning Southampton addick, I don’t moan or boo at the valley when we are losing, but a large proportion do, and a large proportion come on here slagging people off when we lose away, but say what you like support does make a difference and if people expect as to take 300 to Luton against a fairly full home crowd desperate to get through to spurs and still win then I think they’ve got unrealistic expectations. Besides from all that, I enjoy watching games far more when theres a packed terrace singing than when im standing in the cold on my own in metres and metres of empty space
Comments
what ? Worse than Brighton ? Bristol Rovers, Exeter, Hartlepool, Swindon ?
according to their own website - NO.
yep. least the other grounds have a bit of soul...ok brighton maybe but its not really a ground and they are moving.
Colchester is an ikea ground, horrible gaff.
will probably still go tho as its my birthday.
Exeter and Bristol are both infinitely better than Colchester, in fact they are two of my favourite in the league and Colchester is one of the worst
From the OS
Arond 400 tickets from Charlton's 570 seats and 1,200 terrace places had been sold by Monday morning
Where have I got my first post from? Or am I miss reading it?

League game shirley?
Will be at Colchester but no ticket yet.
In the worst 20% of away support in the entire league fact.
Signed - Ooh Ahh's deputy.
