We've now had our holiday re-scheduled for Sat as tomorrow looks dodgy still. If you have insurance, it's worth checking out their delays policy. Went through ours with a fine tooth comb and it only said that you had to check in, so we did it on-line and got our boarding passes printed out. Nowhere in the policy did it say that you had to travel to the airport to check in - a loophole that I'm sure they'll close in future policies, but it's worked to our advantage for once. Might be worth checking out and check in on-line if you can just in case.

We got the not to travel confirmation, but the insurance company told us that it was of no consequence, we should have gone to the airport regardless just to check in. Wish we'd chatted to you earlier.
my parents are ment to be checking into gatwick south at 8.30am in the morning to fly to egypt for there 40th wedding anniversary, me and my sister are both working so cant take them and all the local cab firms dont want to know even tho they could use the a25 or go via crawley using the closed m23 as an excuse, any ideas anyone? gatwick express isint an option as trains will be fecked getting to Victoria from plumstead.
Ma and pa are just about at the airport left just after 4.30am. There airline said they should fly today as all flights scheduled for today have piority over the back log.
