  • Elliot - 6 - Didn't really have a lot to do, could do nothing about the goal.
Francis - 5 - Shocking passing, a couple of useful tackles, but distribution is so poor.
Doherty - 6 - Very slow but better than Francis..... just
Fry - 7 - Still not sure why he got booked. Good defending and got forward
Fortune - 6 - A few good headers. Still doesn't look like the player he was.
Jackson - 6 - Drifts into the middle a lot, but i much prefer him playing on the Left Midfield than left back.
Semedo - 7 - Solid enough for me to be honest. Signalled to Parky that he wanted to come off a lot earlier than he did, but was told to get on with it.
Wagstaff - 6 - Some good runs, but crossing wasn't great.
Racon - 7 - I thought he played really well tonight.
Martin - 7 - Considering he got a kick in the head, he really had a lot of energy and skill. Pity sometimes he puts tricks over simple stuff.
Benson - 7 - The guys behind me will disagree, but he played well, got in 3 good shots in the box which were well saved by their keeper and scored in the end.

    McCormack - 6 - Did a job, nothing special
Reid - 7 - Took 2 nasty challenges, but created the goal
Sodje - 6 - Tried hard, how unlucky was he with that point blank header?

Elliot - 6.5 no chance with goal, safe hands otherwise and going to credit him for making himself big and maybe playing a role in the Brizzie striker chipping wide in last few mins.
Francis - 7 a lot better today, maybe it was cause he had Waggy infront but was impressed with Francis overall.
    Doherty - 6 ok
Fry - 7 he was also better than Sat.
Fortune - 6.5 won his headers, coped well and looked solid.
Jackson - 6 has been better but we cannot expect goals every game.
Semedo - 6 did ok, hopefully he was taken off more as a precaution.
Wagstaff - 6 not his best game but offered an outlet and will get better. Maybe his injury had an effect on his performance tonight.
Racon - 7 looked good I thought, got better as game wore on.
Martin - 5 know most people will disagree but really can't stand him, too many flicks/tricks, dives and falls over at every opportunity. Also if you assess his overall game- there are too many times when he gives the ball away or loses the ball. End product often poor and only postives are that he does try for the first 20mins and looked more of a threat on the right. Should have scored at end, no excuse for not hitting target. Just because he has trained with Ronaldo, does not mean he has to imitate him and poorly.
Benson - 7 not his best game but scored a goalscorers goal. What we bought him for.

McCormack - 6.5 tidy, effective and proved he can do a job when needed. Not first choice though.
N/A Reid - 6.5 why did he play RM for a while? good when on the left- direct and tested their fullback.
N/A Sodje - 6.5 has made a good impression in the last two, he is an asset off the bench despite not being everyones cup of tea. Hassles defences- should have scored though.

  • Are you lot having a laugh with the low Francis marks? 1st half he was faultless with his passing to Wagstaff (who wasted just about everything he was given). Thought his chested lay off in the build up to the goal was good. A couple of passes went astray 2nd half but thought he was more than ok. His set pieces were ok too.

Elliott - 7 Unsighted for the goal.
Francis - 8 Kept the winger quiet and kept Wagsatff supplied.
Doherty -8 Untroubled and played a superb ball for Sodje's header.
Fry - 6 Daft booking meant he had to be very careful.
Fortune - 8 Untroubled and did well.
Jackson - 6 Some good control but not much threat.
Semedo - 7 Was doing ok in a tight match.
Wagstaff - 6 Maybe not fit? Wasted so many good chances to cross in the 1st half. Had a decent effort on goal in the 2nd. Tracked back well.
Racon - 8 Very composed and looks really fit.
Martin - 6 Was much better when moved to right wing but lacked composure and strength in the penalty area.
Benson - 7 Not much service but tried to link up with the others.

McCormack - 7.5 Used the ball well and makes good off the ball runs into space. Very good shot late on.
Reid - 6.5 Pulled defenders towards him but couldn't find the killer ball. Frustrates and excites in equal measure.
Sodje - 7.5 Made a difference but wasted two huge chances to score (point blank header plus clean through but didn't get the shot off). Pretty sure he'll start on Saturday and deserves a chance now.
  • Elliot - 7

  • Elliot - 6 didn't have much to do
Francis - 6 done ok too many stray passes though
    Doherty - 7 solid
Fry - 6 done ok his passing a bit lazy at times
    Fortune - 7 solid
Jackson - 7 looked good going forward in the first half
    Semedo - 7 done well
Wagstaff - 5 must be still ill as he looked poor
Racon - 8 He is getting better and better
Martin - 6 Yet again we got to see the good the bad and the ugly with Martin.
Benson - 7 played very well, shame a few more chances dont fall his way

McCormack - 7 Done well when he came on, sprayed a good few passes about
N/A Reid - 5 Headless chicken at times
N/A Sodje - 6 done well but what good striker would have left that chance in the last minute for Martin to strike.

  • Elliot - 6
Francis - 6 some good tackles but some wayward passes
    Doherty - 7
    Fry - 6 did ok
    Fortune - 7 solid
Jackson - 6.5 looks comfortable at LM
Semedo - 6.5 hope he is ok
    Wagstaff - 5.5
    Racon - 7.5
Martin - 7.5 was still offering himself on 95mins despite kick to the head. immense work rate
    Benson - 6

    McCormack - 6.5 did well
    N/A Reid - 6
    N/A Sodje - 6 should have scored
  • Elliot - 6 not to blame for goal and nothing else to do -some good kicks and throws- 1 dodgy kick.
Francis - 6 Some good, some bad but solid
Doherty - 7 Thought he had a decent game -composed -won his fair share
    Fry - 6 Steady
    Fortune - 7 See Doc
Jackson - 6 Involved but bit subdued
Semedo - 6 not usual self- possiblt because carrying injury - solid enough though
Wagstaff - 6 Looked to be not 100% but battled gamely
Racon - 7.5 In and out of the game but glimpses of quality at regular intervals and sublime bit of skill to set up goal
Martin - 4 May con some of you with his sublime skills but lacks a footballing brain - makes wrong decision far more often than right ones - doesn't link up at all with fellow striker as doesn't know how to. Better wide but again often makes wrong choices. Needs to be played as an impact sub.
    Benson - 7 worked hard

McCormack - 6 looked sharp and up for it
    N/A Reid - 7 Had an impact
N/A Sodje 7 Parkinson- you haven't understood fully why the team has been succesful. I'll spell it out -Anyinsah has given us a physical presence which unsettles defenders and within the current dynamic of the team Sodje for all his limitations gives us that albeit to a slightly lesser extent. Needed to start IMO but definitely shouldn't have had to wait for us to go behind. Made a big difference.

Parky - 5 See comments on Sodje. However their keeper did need to make 2 world class reaction saves and a couple of other decent ones. He has to understand what is effective against league 1 defences -physicality and a bit of pace. Sticking with Benson and Abbot playing together showed me he doesn't quite get it and yesterday confirmed it. He will get it but wish it didn't take so long!

Ref was not good in so far as Rovers delayed everything to slow the game down and not allow us to get into a rhythm and there should have been bags of added time but he missed this!!!! Also nearly let Rovers in with a blatent handball which was incredible.

Could be a decent resuly at the end of the day, especially if Parky realises that if fit, one of Anyinsah or Sodje has to be on the pitch. Personally, despite Benson being very sound and a good buy -I'd favour them both -at least I'd take a look at it and Saturday may be a good opportunity to test it out. Think we have something there but Parky is oblivious to it.
  • Elliott- 6.5
    Francis-8 NSS wont be happy
    Docherty-7
    Fry-7
    Fortune-7
    Jackson-7
    Semedo-6.5
    Wagstaff-6.5
Racon - 8 always said he could play now doing it in the right areas.
Martin - 7 maybe 1 step over to many but at least he tries different things.
Benson -7 lots of effort needs goals ,should stop coming out wide and play through the middle a lot more.

    McCormack-7
Reid-6.5 still dont look fit .
Sodje - 6.5 good save by the keeper but akpo should av buried that header.
  • Elliot - 7 not a lot to do
Francis - 5 better in the 1st half, but distribution poor
Doherty - 6 better than Yeovil, but the legs are definitely going
Fry - 6 not sure about Fry yet
Fortune - 6 not the Fortune of old
Jackson - 6 not as effective as in recent games
Semedo - 6 nothing special and sometime slow to react
Wagstaff -4 I really don't get Wagstaff, time will tell
Racon - 7 sometimes he looks world class
Martin - 6 too many flicks
Benson - 7 needs Ayinsah but looks comfortable at this level

McCormack - 6 I thought he looked OK when he came on
N/A Reid - 6 should start for me
    N/A Sodje - 6 actually looked like a footballer

  • Elliot - 7 unsighted for goal, did everything else well
Francis - 7 Don't think it was his best game but he defended well. Too often didn't have a simple ball to play and hoofed it but is that him or the midfield?
Doherty - 7.5 injured but carried on. Never really that troubled
Fry - 6.5 silly booking but works out well that banned for cup. Some good runs forward and solid enough at the back
Fortune - 7.5 Cruised through his first full game for a while. Would like to see him in a foot race with a pacey forward to see how fast he still is but his good play meant Rovers never had a chance to test that.
Jackson - 7 Very good start but less space as Rovers sat back in "bulk"
Semedo - 6.5 not his best game, looked slightly off his game even before the injury or whatever it was
Wagstaff - 6 Needed an on-form Waggy to get behind them but he wasn't quite on it. Correct decision to sub him
Racon - 7.5 Another good game
Martin - 6 So much skill, so much effort, so much frustration. Be direct and when you shoot hit the bleedin' target
Benson - 7 For the goal and the hard work but he didn't win much in the air (not that he had much chance) and got pushed around a bit. Benson and Martin worked at P'boro but tonight Benson and Sodje worked better.

McCormack - 6 Did well enough and lovely strike on goal that drew a good save
N/A Reid - 6 Not his best game, as with Waggy needed him to get behind. On one the few times he did he set up the goal with what I thought was a wayward shot.
N/A Sodje - 8 Game changer. Did well to even get a head on the 60 yard ball from doc let alone steer it at goal. Only a great save denied him a winning. Joe and Akpo would be interesting one day.

  • Elliot - 6.5. Nothing much to do. No chance with the goal.
Francis - 7.5. Generally very good game, though still wasteful with possession at times.
Doherty - 8. Stood solid all game.
    Fry - 6.5
    Fortune - 8.5. Immovable.
    Jackson - 7
    Semedo - 7
Wagstaff - 7. Still not fully fit, I thought.
Racon - 8.5. Excellent. And great skill in setting up our goalscoring situation.
Martin - 7. Ran all night but needs to learn when to release the ball.
    Benson - 7. Good poacher's performance.

    McCormack - 7
    N/A Reid - 6.5
    N/A Sodje - 7.5

    And Anderson, Rovers' keeper, 10.
  • Elliot -6.5 Solid enough the replay of the goal makes it look worse for him than it did at the time other than that didn't do much wrong
Francis -7 One of his better games, some good tackles and crosses
    Doherty -7
Fry -6.5 Coped well with their right midfield man thought Jackson was going to go off before him
    Fortune -7
Jackson -6.5 Was pretty anonymous on the left midfield, got more involved when switched to left back
    Semedo -7
    Wagstaff -6 Pretty ineffective
Racon -7.5 Created our goal with his run, played better when Semedo went off
Martin -7 Created alot but if only he picked the right pass at the right time he'd be a superstar!
Benson -7 Worked hard against two big centre backs, scored did well.

    McCormack -6
    N/A Reid -6
N/A Sodje -7 Troubled them alot by just running at them and chasing things, just a shame he can't control

  • Elliot - 6 - not much to do
Francis - 6.5 - infuriating at times. How can such a good crosser of the ball give it away so often by mucking up straightforward passes?!
    Doherty - 7 - Solid
Fry - 6.5 - works well with Jackson
Fortune - 7 - calm on the ball
    Jackson - 7 - another good performance
    Semedo - 7.5 -
Wagstaff - 7 - needs to learn to put a decent cross in, excellent otherwise
Racon - 8.5 - very impressed once again
    Martin - 7.5 - constant threat
    Benson - 6.5 - misses Anyinsah I think

    McCormack - 6.5 - no mistakes

  • Elliot - 6 the worlds unluckiest keeper , keeps getting these miracle shots from outside the box that are unstoppable
Francis - 7 someone slagged of his delivery, i think it's good
Doherty - 7 ran himself into the ground , when the balls at his feet i'm scared
    Fry - 5 pony
    Fortune - 7 steady eddie
Jackson - 6 offered little going forward
Semedo - 6 his touch was a bit ropey but he's a stopper not a plaaayer
Wagstaff - 5 the wagstaff of last season , crap
Racon - 8.5 putting in some proper all action performances and my MOM
Martin - 6.5 just learn to release that ball a bit earlier and would be unplayable
Benson - 7 wins more headers than you'd think but is weak on occasssions but a penalty box king

McCormack - 8 brilliant cameo and very busy unlucky not to score
N/A Reid - 6.5 not his best cameo but assisted for the goal
N/A Sodje - 7 for sheer effort and exuberance really made a nuisance but should have scored with a header and failed to pull the trigger when well placed
