Poor Noise Levels

Almost every Westham, millwall, tottenham etc fan i talk to say we are rather quiet and of corse the name trainspotters come to mind. Are we REALLY this bad? i agree that out of the east and west stands prob only about 10 fans from each stand up and sing. I dont really give a **** what other teams say about us, but in a way it is true.

So my point is, if you dont like Charlton being called trainpotters and being labelled as shit support why wudnt you stand up and give it your all? (making more noise helps the team to win also) kills to birds with 1 stone if you ask me.

Iam not pointing out anybody so please dont see this as offensive, but it really gets me annoyed to hear wanky millwall fans esp say all this!!!

  • its not great, but also not bad.
I did think that the noise levels yesterday were poor, regardless of the teams performance.
  • Yeah dont get me wrong, we are nowhere near as bad as some teams. But in terms of London clubs, we got to be 1 of the most quiet. And it hurts, i would love for teams to say ''hard game at the valley next week, jesus there loud''
  • thing is, in the north upper, we are miles away from the away fans. If you look at other london clubs, with the exception of millwall, the away fans and home fans mostly share stands. If not there is a vocal section near the away fans, which we just dont have. I'd happily move to the east stand or wherever, if it improved the atmosphere.
But we need to remember the fundamentally important thing is that the players, and not the away fans, can hear us and use our vocal support
  • All opposing fans will tell you how quiet we are and how loud they are .Especially millwank fans.

    Just talking sh**
    Pay no attention.
  • Not many atmospheres in England are anything to write home about unless it's a derby/big game or the home team is winning. Stoke is one of few who can really be considered top notch.
  • Ah yes i totally agree that its the player hearing us is most important, and i not really bothered that the north stand is far away from the south stand, its just you go most places and the whole ground/stadium is up singing, but with us its just the north stand (north upper really if being picky) When i used to sit in the west upper (because i liked the high view) i used to stand up for the whole 90mins singing along and i shit you not the strange looks i got from fans around me because i was being loud, It used to piss me right off, i used to think i was being a naughty boy by getting up and shouting my ass off!
  • Tottenhams support is shocking. They only have two songs. Fact.

    Give over.
Out of the three teams mentioned initially, in fact all London clubs, Spurs fans are the best.
Living in Arsenals shadow for years they still had a 13,000 strong season ticket waiting list and sold out all away allocations always.
Home or away they are loud as fu£k mate.
  • Ah i realise that these other fans (Wankers) are just pissing me off, but at the same time does make me think we are sometimes or alot of the time, very quiet. I just would love games at the Valley were we are so loud i cant hear myself think.
  • Don't make too much noise, you'll disturb my afternoon nap!

So why do you think the covered end being closed is a good idea?
  • [cite]Posted By: mparsons1[/cite]tottenham didnt sell out at bolton yesterday

i think its a 4800 allocation at bolton, for a 12 45 kick off too.
not that im in anyway trying to defend spurs, i never would

If you mean for the cup game? if so then to keep costs down which is important.
  • We were loud the year we were relegated from the prem.

Why cant we be loud for every game, esp NOW to get us back into the championship!

    This.
  • Even Stoke were pretty quiet last time we played there.
  • Ah maybe were not that bad then after all lol. Still would love to see more join in tho.

  • spurs piss on most clubs regarding vocal support,im sure there club have never allocated singers sections in there stands............
  • Yeah i have heard spurs are loud, but there wankers so i dont really wanna praise them, just wish we was considered a loud club, or louder!

No way am i questioning our fans passion because i know in regards of passion we have it bigtime!!! but just dont know how the quiet ones can go to the stadium of this brilliant club that means so much to every1 and not sing and stand!

When you're talking about something belonging to someone it's "their", not "there". Also, the standard way of shortening "they are" is "they're", not "there". Thanks.
  • an important thread and you point out that? lol, funny stuff
  • Apologies for trivialising such an important thread.

    Now, let's all shout loudly.

But I think he meant they're in this case.
  • wow! why are you being scarcastic, i dont get it? i havnt been rude and to me this IS an important thread (as more noise helps to win games in my opinion
