Glad Basey is playing centre back, think that will turn out to be his best position.
He got to the age where he needs regular football. If we had kept him he might have got games at left back, but at centre back we've got players who at the moment are better than him. At 21/22 regular League Two football is better for him than being a back up player here.
Pretty poor to have that kind of hold on a game and create nothing besides a handful of half chances. Could've easily gone out at the end and it was all our doing. Abbott? Oh dear me.
Does anyone know whether it was just my imagination or was the pitch very narrow? Overall we the better side and much the more likely winners although the last 10 they got at us big time and we the happier to hear the final whistle. Players seemed to really appreciate the great support today.
Not an inspiring game to put it mildly, but why the booing at the end? Matty Fry was good to watch, hadn't seen him that close up before and his strength surprised me. Less happy with Abbott, not because he had a pretty poor game, (which he did), but because he had a right old go at Scotty who had crossed into the box but presumably not where Abbott wanted it. Didn't like the aggressive way he went for Scotty.

When akpo came on and missed a chance scotty made for him the other week scotty had a go according to reports on here and it was good to see his passion
I suppose abbot isn't a youth product and naturally not flavour of the month
Abbott was woeful today. Said it already and I stand by it.
It has been suggested on here that he is having trouble settling or that something is wrong. I'd agree, he looks a shadow of the player who ran himself into the ground at Orient.
As for today, we should have won. Had enough chances to be 2-3 up by halftime. Anyinsah went off and that was the end of us as an attacking threat.
i did'nt go today so i dont know how we player but we must done somethink right we'll still in with a shout let's take it back to the valley and really rip them apart

PS: Thought Dailly and Doherty looked excellent at the back for us and that it was a fair result between two totally committed teams.
The rollercoaster of Charlton continues

Figures quoted on the O/S Att: 1,684 (1219 Charlton)
Maybe they'll be drawn at home against Swindon Town......?

Hopefully he is showing a bit of consistency now.
Also reckon Matty Fry had a brilliant game.
Really impressed with him and hope we can extend the loan.
Good noise from our fans too!

Ho hum, still in the cup, I could feel the mega joules of magic pouring out of the ground
