No maybe it won't help them that much, but what are the other options? Play reserve friendlies or occasionally come off the bench in the first team (who do you drop though).

Unfortunately I'm not sure they'll even get a run of starts, Davisson went to Bromley and only made two sub apps (though we didn't let him play in the cup games). Tuna went to Staines, Woking and Welling last season and didn't get a run of starts for any of them.

The downside to some of these short term loans is that clubs aren't always going to make changes to their team for the sake of players who are only going to be there for a few games, especially if they're already doing just fine in the league (e.g. Bromley are/were top). Maybe Thurrock has been chosen because a struggling team is more likely to give the lads a decent run of games?

Looking at the fixtures, I've noticed that they're playing vs the Darts on the 20th, so I might just try to get along to see them.
  • Think Tamer scored against Dartford pre season two years ago for Charlton.
God that seems a long time ago!.......

Pity he did not get a place at Dartford at least it is a local team for him. ( and at present up against Port Vale)

Try and get his brother to take us to the match, ( one of my sons sold him his first car,) he owes me about thirty lifts from all the arse hauling around Kent and all the clubs we used to play at......

Click on "Ratings and Stats" - looks like Tuna started and Davisson was a sub.

Thurrock lost at home to 3 late-ish goals.

    Ground: Ship Lane, Att 305

Three hundred and five peoplepersons there ..... I thought someone said they only get 70 or something for home games?

    Edit:
Is the Jack Clark on the bench for Braintree, our youngster released in the summer?
    Just wondering.

    It is yeah.

Edit: Joe Woolley the sub keeper for Thurrock was also here a few years ago.
  • 300 is not a bad crowd, similar to Dulwich Hamlets

What I actually said was they get about 80-100 home fans. That is what they get week in week out. They barely average 200.

300ish today. Braintree is not far up the road and they are top of the league and flying.

  • Fair enough, Clem.

If there was good away support today, that would bolster the gate.
  • I know he used to own a Fulham shirt when they were sponsored by Pizza Hut. Might change a few opinions.

Probably not a good idea putting that on here mate. Bad for morale between two team mates aswell as a breach of trust with your mate Davo........................

Yeah bad idea to post that so I thought I'd repeat it just in case you delete what you said
