  • I'm sure we'll all be glued to see how the grass is growing!
  • I really feel for Olly when he has to write that stuff. "The pitch, which Charlton may never win on again as it drowns in the tears of broken hearted supporters, is now luscious and green!"

The oppo will love it next season. Love it.
  • Its only going to be an interim pitch anyway !
  • Can't they set up a live stream for us to watch it grow? It would be more exciting than waiting for a new manager

Roland got it set up in his bunker by all accounts.
  • You may not be able to see it, but you can hear it.

  • So the sun is out and the players are away. Ideal time for some building I'd say.

Is there any building work going on?

    Has the next phase began?

    @Swisdom? Anyone?

  • Quiet from our perspective but then again it would be at tender stage.

  • Walked past the Training ground yesterday , nothing happening in afraid
  • Has she reached the centre of the earth yet?

Or found her missing brain ?

From that photo it looks like the club have finally taken the netting down.

Only while the brickies are building the 20 ft high wall.

So what you're saying is that despite the close season from the middle of May onwards, the highly specialist Construction Consultants have programmed the major part of June for the tender stage?

So July will be the tender analysis and award. Contract signing and sealing followed by mobilisation of the main Contractor and where necessary any sub contractors.

That should see a start on site the first week of the new season - assuming the funding is in place.

Are these sort of organisational skills a Belgian trait?

Wouldn't all tenders and contractors been sorted well in advance so as to allow a smooth transition from one stage to the next and so not waste valuable time between stages?

Or is Tony Cahones just as inept as a project manager as he is as a COO?

Maybe the contractors are taking advantage of his inexperience?
  • Does Cojones drive that big flash car as compensation?

    This.

It's inconceivable that this project doesn't have a main contractor who will have set out a schedule of works for themselves and sub contractors that ensures that there is a smooth transition between phases of works ensuring that time and money are not wasted having men or plant sitting around or the necessity of moving plant on and off site.

There will have been penalties written into contracts to ensure all of the above happens.

A completely new level of incompetence could also be the reason feck all is happening. That or there is another reason we're not being told about but that's surely not possible.

Love how KM casually states "we're behind schedule" too!
It's like they're waiting to pay the training ground off with the new ticketing fees!
